  Episode -4 D

  Episode -4 D

"Guys, the stream is gone! It disappeared... it’s cut off!"

Rogi shouted whatever came to mind in her panic.

"Huh? What got cut off?" Leo asked back.

"There’s no stream!" Rogi shouted again.

No one understood what Rogi meant. But strangely, Eti understood Rogi perfectly and cried out.

"The boat is going to fall..." At Eti’s words, Leo understood the situation and shouted loudly.

"It’s a waterfall!" The children were horrified.

Leo also urgently lifted his head to look at the river, and their current position was high—soon the turtle boat would plunge down to the ground with the rapids.

Leo shouted toward Eat. "Eat, it’s a waterfall! This is high—we’re about to fall!"

But Eat was in no position to even take care of himself.

The boat raced faster toward the waterfall, and the children were terrified. At that moment, Pai shouted desperately at Yona.

"Yona, take out everything you have! Anything! Anything!"

  At Pai’s desperation, Yona thought.

  "Anything?"

Then he coolly recalled Pai’s story once more.

"Wait." And Yona muttered, "Pai’s story! Pai’s ability! What Pai asked for!"

In the past, Pai had told Yona she wanted an ability to speak with animals and plants, and a power that could heal anyone.

Just then, Yona came up with a good idea to overcome the crisis. But there was no time to explain it in detail.

Because the boat was about to fall off the cliff.

  Yona shouted urgently at Pai.

"Pai… scream, scream! Shout for help—scream to be saved!"

Pai thought Yona was saying something stupid at a time like this, and she shouted at him angrily.

"Is that your plan?! Who’s going to help us, you idiot!" Yona was serious, but there was no time to explain.

"Pai, please scream! You have to scream for someone to save you!"

At Yona’s words, Pai grew even angrier.

"Who’s going to help us, you idiot!"

In that moment, the children floated briefly into the air with the boat, then began to plummet to the ground under their weight.

The instant all the children screamed, Pai screamed too.

"Kyaaaaaaa~~~" As Pai screamed in fear, countless vines wrapped around the rocks beside the waterfall all began to writhe at once.

Those vines—those plants! They had started moving after hearing Pai’s scream.

And the vines quickly snatched Pai and her friends as they fell toward the ground.

After that, the vines tried to carry Rogi, Eti, Dabi, Eli, Yona, Leo, Eat—and even the turtle boat—down to the ground.

Below the waterfall was a huge pool of water, and around it were some rocks and flat ground, and the vines lowered everyone safely there.

The friends other than Pai sighed in relief, happy that they had reached the ground alive,

but Pai was off in the distance, talking with the vines.

"Thank you for saving us~" Then not only the vines, but all the plants around them greeted Pai.

Only Pai could hear those voices, and the children, unaware, watched Pai’s behavior with puzzled looks.

Yona explained in detail to the others, calling it “Pai’s ability.”

After being under extreme tension, once that tension released, the children looked a little tired—hungry and thirsty.

Leo, whose stomach growled from the boat, placed a hand on the boat and said, "I’m so hungry."

Then, from here and there, voices saying they were hungry began to rise.

Dabi: "Is there anything we can eat?"

Leo: "I want to go to the study room..."

Eat: "If we leave the story right now, we don’t know what disadvantage we might face when we return next time..."

Yona: "Right. Let’s look for something to eat here."

Rogi: "So if we leave the story at any time, we get disadvantages..."

  Eti: "I’m thirsty~"

At that moment, Pai absentmindedly said whatever popped into her head. "I want to eat bananas."

Then Leo also said, "Wouldn’t there be bananas in a place like this?" and Rogi spoke what came to mind at the same time.

"Pineapple, coconut!" The children began listing things they thought they might find in the forest, when suddenly Pai said,

"Hm? I think I smell fruit." Then Eti, startled, called out to Pai.

"Pai sister!" Everyone turned to look at Pai in surprise. But Pai appeared to be she had no idea.

  "Why?"

Yona pointed at Pai with his finger and said, "Behind—behind!"

When Pai gently turned around, there was a huge pile of banana bunches, as if someone had gathered them all in one place.

Startled, Pai tore one off immediately and put it in her mouth. A deep fruit aroma filled her senses, sweet and rich.

"Whoa, this is so good!" Pai said, and the children ran over and began tearing off bananas and eating them one after another.

  With round eyes, Rogi said,

"Whoa, this is tasty." Rogi had never tasted bananas like this before.

Meanwhile, Leo beside her said nothing for some reason—he only ate quickly.

"Why didn’t we see the bananas here?" Dabi said, looking around. At that moment, something occurred to Eli and he called out to Pai.

"Pai! Say something else you want to eat, not bananas!" Rogi also looked at Pai.

"Something else? Um... strawberries, peaches, watermelon!" The children looked at Pai with expectant eyes, but even after a long time, nothing happened.

Yona looked at the bananas and said... "Those fruits don’t grow in a place like this..."

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Dabi paused while peeling his banana and asked Yona,

"Then what would work?" Yona thought for a moment and answered that mangoes, pineapples, and coconuts would probably exist.

Then he told them something he thought was a surprising fact.

"Guys, I think this place is probably... a jungle?..."

Yona marveled at his own words. It gave him goosebumps... that was a thrill! And he looked at his friends.

But his friends had no interest at all, as if they were only thinking about pineapples.

Jungle or not, the children only stared at Pai with desperate eyes.

Bearing all of their expectations, Pai looked into the forest.

"I want to eat mangoes, coconuts, and pineapples!"

Not long after, stems and branches extended out from the thick bushes and began placing the fruits Pai had named in front of them.

The children cheered and picked up mangoes, but in truth, none of them had ever eaten one even once.

Instead of putting them in their mouths, they only turned the unfamiliar fruit over in their hands, simply looking at it.

"So this is a mango? How do you eat it..." And they only stared at the pineapple and coconuts.

The young children couldn’t even begin to imagine how to eat coconuts and pineapples.

Watching this, Eat hurriedly took out a small knife, cut off the pineapple’s crown, peeled it, and sliced it into easy-to-eat pieces, arranging them neatly on a broad leaf.

Only then did the children begin to eat their fill of pineapple.

Leo: "This is my first time filling up on fruit!~"

  Rogi: "Same here! Haha."

Dabi: "Fruit can be a meal." \[‘meal’ means a full meal]

Eli: "Seriously! Fruit becomes a meal~"

After dismantling nine pineapples, Eat collapsed.

"Ahh, I’m dying~" Eti quickly fed pineapple into the mouth of the fallen Eat.

"Delicious~ Eti is the best," Eat said, and Eti laughed happily. "Kyaaaahaha~"

Leo was alone, holding a coconut and observing it from e angle.

"How do you eat this?.. Eat~ cut this too!" Yona approached. "You can’t cut that with a small knife~"

Leo replied, "Then how do you eat it?" After thinking, Yona said, "Smash it?"

Immediately, Leo smashed the coconut with both hands. Liquid spilled onto the ground..

"Ah, what a waste." Leo said regretfully, picking up another coconut... Yona’s eyes widened..

"Leo, how did you smash it?" Before Yona even finished speaking, the coconut broke again. Leo tried drinking the liquid inside.

"Kah... this is good." Leo picked up another coconut again.. Yona stepped a little closer..

"Leo, I asked how you smashed it!" Leo carefully handed the coconut to Yona. "Try drinking it, Yona~"

But Yona’s hands were uncomfortable, so it was hard for him to take it.

So Leo tried to feed him himself. "Open wide~ Say ah~~" When Yona sat and opened his mouth, Leo slowly poured the coconut into his mouth little by little.

After drinking the coconut, Yona felt as if his mind had become clear..

  "Leo! Give me more~"

After that, the friends gathered around Leo, and Leo carefully smashed coconuts one by one with his hands...

Gradually, Leo tore the coconuts with his bare hands more precisely so they were easier to drink.

"Leo, your (super hero) story hasn’t even started yet—why do you already have super power?" Yona asked.

But Leo had no way of knowing the reason either.

And the children only realized that fact a little later...

Leo was not only big—he possessed tremendous strength.

With his stomach full and his energy recovered, Dabi wandered around and looked all around.

The stream created by the waterfall to the side had far too strong a current, and he didn’t want to ride the boat for a while.

When Dabi returned after looking around, his expression was bad.

"This is weird. There’s no way out."

In the dense forest around them, there was nowhere that could be called a path, and Dabi thought that was strange.

"In a forest where people don’t live, there isn’t a path originally," Yona replied.

"A path forms only if people walk it~" Rogi supported Yona’s words.

"What! There was no path to begin with?" Dabi looked truly shocked.

"Then let’s make a path and get out!" Eli suggested, and as he looked around, he chose one direction.

"Let’s make a path starting here."

As he spoke, Eli picked up a stick nearby and began pushing aside the grasses and branches surrounding them.

After making a path for about three steps, Eli suddenly threw the stick away and returned to the group.

"I can’t do this at all." Eli had already given up.

Dabi looked at Eat and said, "Eat, what do we do?"

The children also looked at Eat, but Eat was completely at ease.

"I don’t know. Let’s find a way." Eat answered bluntly, and recalled what Polun had told him not long ago.

  --

"Eat! You have to take care of the children. It’s your mission and responsibility, got it?"

\[Sulky Eat] "With me like this, who am I supposed to take care of and be responsible for? Put me back the way I was!"

"Eat... that... can’t be done! You only observe. Protection and observation!"

"You owl! How am I supposed to protect anyone when I’m this weak! Put me back right now!"

"No! If that happens, the children will depend only on you~"

"You said protect!" \[his voice rises]

"You’ll understand when the time comes. Wait." Smiling, Polun was grabbed by the collar by Eat again.

Polun like that, and countless Olpins watching—

At the dignity of “Eat, the red chicken,” shaking the collar of “Polun, the golden owl, supreme commander of the Olpins,”

the Olpins were horrified, and some trembled in fear.

  --

  Eti offered an idea.

"Let’s use Pai sister!" Pai, startled—"Use me?" Then Leo immediately understood

and began urging Pai to try talking to the plants.

Leo: "Pai! Talk to the plants~"

Pai: "Um... what should I say?"

Leo: "Ask them to open a path so we can pass?"

  Dabi: "That would work~"

  Pai: "Would it?"

Rogi playfully shoved the hesitant Pai’s back. Pai, acting as if she couldn’t resist, approached the forest and whispered to the plants,

and the friends behind her held their breath.

Pai motioned for them to come this way. The friends ran toward Pai in joy.

At the same time, the forest’s plants created a path that was easy for the children to pass through.

Soon after, the children began walking slowly toward an unknown destination.

Along the newly formed forest path, small animals, finding the scene fascinating, followed at a distance,

and small birds flew in and chirped brightly.

Drunk on the forest’s sounds and scents, the children walked the path happily.

With his belly full and excited, Dabi had been rushing ahead of the group, enjoying the forest.

But behind him, Yona, trying to hurry after his friends, misstepped and fell.

Eti and Rogi, startled, called out to Yona and ran over to help him up.

"Ah, sorry. I tripped and fell. Heh.." Yona felt sorry.

Hearing that Yona had fallen, Dabi urgently turned back and shouted.

  "Yona, are you okay?"

At that moment, something came scrambling through the thick bushes in the forest, strongly shoved Dabi,

and then ran quickly toward the group of children.

It was a lifeform of an unknown identity, a shape none of them had ever seen before.

The children screamed in surprise, and Leo stepped in front to protect them, easily subduing the charging thing.

But Leo shouted in alarm toward Dabi, who was watching.

  "Dabi, it’s dangerous!"

  "What is?"

Before Dabi could finish speaking, a huge beast appeared behind him.

The beast rammed into Dabi and, along with him, vanished into the forest in an instant.

  "No!! Dabi!"

The children screamed in fear, and a startled Eat rushed toward Dabi.

But the huge beast that had taken Dabi reappeared,

and this time, it began charging toward the remaining children with terrifying force.

Eat threw himself at the beast, trying to stop it somehow, but it was useless.

Leaving Eat flung aside, the beast now faced Leo head-on.

Leo couldn’t dodge. Behind him, his friends were crouched, trembling in fear.

  "Kyaaaak!!"

Eti screamed as if in despair. In that instant, Leo lowered his stance to face the charging beast.

Then, without hesitation, he thrust his fist straight toward the beast’s enormous nose.

With a massive crash, an enormous cloud of dust erupted in e direction.

At the same time, the huge beast flew across over Eat’s head,

smashed hard into a large tree, and passed out on the spot.

Leo immediately tried to run out to find Dabi,

but suddenly, from the thick bushes, Dabi appeared with a "Ta-da~"

With a bewildered expression, Dabi shouted toward his friends.

"Guys, what is this? What just happened?"

The worried friends all ran to Dabi at once.

  "Dabi, are you okay?"

Rogi asked urgently, and Pai and Eli checked Dabi’s body here and there.

But aside from a little dirt dust on his clothes, Dabi was completely fine, without even a small scratch.

  "I’m totally fine!"

Dabi even giggled as he laughed.

"Then where did the monster go?" Eti pointed toward the huge beast with her finger.

  Dabi, startled, said,

  "What is that?" Eti answered.

"It’s the monster~ Leo brother took care of it~" Dabi asked again.

"Leo, you’re amazing~ But what about the monster that shoved me?" Dabi asked about whatever had pushed him and run ahead.

  "Right, wait a second~!"

With Leo’s words, the children looked around, searching for the unknown lifeform that had first come running in panic,

but they couldn’t find it—no matter where it had hidden.

"Stop hiding and come out!" Eat said in a solemn voice. Then Pai looked at Eat and asked, "Who?"

That was when it happened. From the bushes, a strange lifeform with yellow, shimmering skin and purple eyes,

and a head that appeared to be it was wearing an octopus hat, timidly revealed itself, trembling in fear.

"Who are you? And why did you attack us?" Eat asked.

  Then the lifeform answered.

  "Please spare me……."

At that moment, Pai shouted, "Yona, what did you add?"

Yona panicked and waved his hands. "No! I didn’t do anything……. I…… I don’t know what this is!"

Suddenly, Dabi cut in with a serious expression and tone.

"It’s an octopus alien! And we have to defeat the octopus demon king!"

The mysterious lifeform protested as if wronged. "No. Me…… a demon king?"

But Dabi ignored that and approached Yona, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Now then! Where is the gear to defeat the demon king?"

Just as Yona was about to protest in unfair frustration, Leo opened his mouth.

Leo: "This is my first time on such a thrilling adventure! And a demon king, too!"

Rogi: "Seriously! The plot is different~ As expected of Yona~!"

Eti: "Hm... I also got a bit~ more interested!"

Eli: "Hiyaa~ So this is where it starts!"

Pai looked utterly shocked at the children’s sudden excitement. And she thought deeply about something.

Yona had words he urgently wanted to say to everyone in his unfair frustration.

But Pai approached Yona and didn’t give him a chance to speak. "Yona~!"

  Startled, Yona answered, "Huh?"

Pai had something she wanted to say to Yona.

  "Yona~ I was too stubborn. I’m sorry."

"Huh? For what?" Yona was flustered by Pai’s unexpected behavior.

Then he was afraid she might shout again. Strength went into the hand gripping his cane.

"I think I was trying too hard to make a story only for myself~"

Pai, who had kept her head lowered, slowly raised it.

"It should have been something we could all enjoy together... I feel sorry."

After that, Pai’s praise and apologies continued,

and Yona, watching it all, became exhausted by this whole situation...He decided to give up.

"Whatever happens, happens. I don’t know anymore."
