When they arrived at the house, Diana became even more enchanted with the idea of buying it.
The house fit what she wanted so well that Diana didn't hesitate to pay and sign the papers to receive the deed to the house.
As soon as the entire transaction was formalized on paper, Alexander looked at the manager of the association and asked: "With these documents and the deed, she’s officially the owner of the house and the deal is closed, correct?
"Yes. With these documents, she is now the legal owner," replied the manager. "I will take a copy for the city records, but the house is already hers."
"You heard that, Diana?" said Alexander with a smile. "You managed to realize your dream of buying a beautiful house for your parents."
"Yes," agreed Diana, very emotional.
"Perfect," said Alexander, turning to the manager. "Mr. Manager, I want a large food cultivation area built in the back and a medium greenhouse for growing plants and flowers on the side."
"I also want you to build cozy decor—nothing too sophisticated—and a pond in the middle of the yard: something with several fish and a gazebo, spacious, beautiful, and furnished," completed Alexander, making the manager's eyes shine with such a grand request. "The gazebo should be like a lookout to provide a good view of the entire yard, and have a comfortable area for three or more people to fish."
"Just summing up your requests individually, the value will exceed 60 large platinum coins," informed the manager to see Alexander's reaction. "If you commission everything at once, we can negotiate a discount on that value."
"We're going to pick up her parents in a village that isn't very far, about a 2-hour trip, so we should take at most 4 hours to go and return," commented Alexander while playing with a large black diamond coin. "If you guarantee me that everything will be of the best quality and will be ready when we return, I will pay you 100 large platinum coins."
Seeing the opportunity to make a good deal and have a huge personal profit, the man thumped his chest. "Deal. If the house isn't ready in 4 hours, we will finish the work and you won't need to pay anything."
"Good words," said Alexander as he tossed his large black diamond coin to the manager.
The man then took them back to the association to make a new contract. Meanwhile, he also sent the employees following him to mobilize everyone and everything for the work.
When Alexander turned to Diana—who was looking at him with tears in her eyes—he just smiled and joked: "You said you wanted to buy a beautiful house for your parents with your own effort—which you did... You never said anything about me giving a housewarming gift to them."
Hearing him, Diana couldn't help but smile, even with tears streaming from her eyes.
In the end she couldn't resist and ended up throwing herself on him to hug him tightly.
After Diana calmed down and let go of Alexander, she looked at him—unexpectedly, but thankfully—just smiling, without any trace of shame.
The manager, who watched the whole scene, wisely pretended not to have seen anything.
He limited himself to signing the papers when they arrived at the association's headquarters.
With everything signed, the manager said goodbye to them and went to personally oversee the work to ensure everything was perfect.
Not because the time was too short. Because his credibility and savings were on the line.
The deadline didn't worry him much. After all, there were people versed in magic and endowed with superhuman strength, capable of drastically accelerating construction time in that world—especially when compared to Earth.
With everything they needed to do in the city resolved, Alexander, Ocean, and Diana headed towards the village where her parents lived.
"This is very strange," thought Alexander as he observed the sky. "This is—or at least should be—the month that starts the rainy season quarter. Yet it's not raining."
Since they didn't need to hurry to get there, as they would have to wait for the work to finish anyway, they went slowly and talked along the way.

Among these conversations, Diana admitted to Alexander that the most important thing for her wasn't the gift he gave or the amount he paid.
It was that he remembered what she told him about her parents.
"Even if we were drinking, how could I not remember that if you said with such passion that your father and mother really like what they do? That you don't want them to stop doing what they like because of a choice you made?" asked Alexander jokingly.
Diana quickly pinched Alexander for reminding her of how she used to get when she ended up drinking too much, but she also ended up laughing.
After approximately 2 hours, they managed to glimpse Diana's hometown village.
When they approached, the "guards" noticed and focused on the big wolf advancing towards them.
Overcome with fear, they called for reinforcements.
Alexander thought that was a bit extreme at first. Yet after thinking a bit, he reached the conclusion that a pack led by Ocean—or a similar wolf—could indeed decimate a small village like that.
As soon as a more experienced person arrived to reinforce the defenses, they soon noticed that there were people walking beside Ocean.
They began to calm their companions' spirits.
When their group reached the village, Diana was easily recognized.
Some began to whisper among themselves, some greeted her, and others began to ask about her situation. She replied that she only came to see her parents.
After Diana spoke with a few people, most eyes turned to the unfamiliar face.
However, Alexander was too stunned by the sight of the five-meter-high wooden wall protecting the village to care.
He—and various creatures—could literally jump over that wall easily.
As Diana walked towards her parents' house, greeting some acquaintances along the way, the number of curious people following their group began to increase.
At a certain point, Diana simply stopped in front of a humble and cozy house. She felt she didn’t know how to proceed.
Since her parents worked with planting and the period of harvest and selling the products had already passed, as winter was about to begin, Diana knew her parents were home. But before she had the inspiration to knock on the door, her parents opened the door because of the commotion in the street.
The couple was surprised to find their daughter at their doorstep. She should still be at the Twin Combats Academy.
However, without them even thinking, the three rushed forward and hugged each other.
Alexander, who watched the whole situation from the outside, took the opportunity to observe the physical traits of Diana’s family.
Her father was a human about 1.75m tall who didn't seem particularly handsome, but had a good build and a body full of natural muscles due to pure physical effort.
Her mother was also a demi-human beast-man, physically very similar to her. Yet her mother was only about 1.60m tall.
Diana was undeniably more beautiful than her mother. But her mother had a kind of gentle aura that gave her a unique charm.
After they finally let go, her mother looked at Alexander smiling and turned to Diana. "So Diana, aren't you going to introduce us to your… friend?"
When Diana was about to answer, Ocean turned her head in a direction.
Alexander then drew his spear and cut Diana's neck.
The onlookers nearby were terrified and tried to turn to flee.
Diana's mother almost fainted from the shock.
Diana's father went from shock to extreme anger very quickly and tried to attack him.
However, Alexander suppressed everyone using |Water Field (MAX)| at its maximum power.
Diana—who was the only calm one—turned to Alexander and asked: "Why?"
"It was the only way," replied Alexander gently as he took her in his arms and used |Invigorate| to close the cut he had made.
Extremely irritated and impatient, Alexander gathered energy in his throat and shouted to the crowd in a commanding tone: "CALM DOWN AND LISTEN TO ME!"
The panicked crowd stopped for a moment and Alexander turned to Diana's parents with a gentle voice: "I'm sorry for the scare and extreme action, but it really was the only way. We don't have time to discuss."
Concentrating even more energy in his throat, Alexander shouted at the top of his lungs—using his Ki to further amplify his voice so that everyone in the village could hear.
"LISTEN EVERYONE CAREFULLY IF YOU WANT TO INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF SURVIVAL. I WILL ONLY WARN YOU ONCE!"
"AT THIS VERY MOMENT THERE IS A WAVE OF CREATURES HEADING TOWARDS THIS VILLAGE!"
"THE MOST POWERFUL PRESENCE AMONG THEM SEEMS TO BE A 3RD EVOLUTION CREATURE!"
"HAVING NO WAY TO FIGHT OR RESIST AGAINST SOMETHING LIKE THAT, MY WOLF WILL LEAVE THIS VILLAGE TOWARDS LESTER CITY IN AT MOST 5 MINUTES!"
"I SUGGEST YOU RUN AND FOLLOW THE PATH SHE TAKES, BECAUSE MOST MONSTERS WILL AVOID HER OR DIE BY HER CLAWS AND FANGS…"
"BUT TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE."
Without bothering to pass on any other information, Alexander looked at Diana's parents and said: "As you heard, it's an emergency."
"The tip of my spear had paralyzing poison," explained Alexander to the couple. "That should prevent her from resisting until you reach the city."
After explaining the situation, Alexander deactivated his |Water Field| and handed Diana to her parents. "You must go to the city and warn the adventurers' guild to prepare for the possible attack of a wave."
"Here. Take my identification plates to avoid problems with Ocean at the city gate and to validate my request at the Guild," said Alexander as he tore off two of the three plates from his cord.
Diana's parents didn't know Alexander, but understood what he was trying to do and tried to say something.
Alexander quickly interrupted and ended up pushing them onto Ocean's back.
"I'm going to delay the wave as much as I can to buy more time for you," said Alexander. "I don't expect, much less intend, for it to happen, but if by some chance I don't return, give Ocean's identification to Diana and ask her to take care of Ocean for me."
Finishing speaking, Alexander asked Ocean, who was not at all happy with the request, to take them to the city.
Diana, who could no longer even speak because of the poison, was carried away with her face stained with so many tears.
Ding!
