Chapter 37 : Beginning of the Path

Dan stood calmly and steadily, watching his first children who reached the designated training age as they ran around the training area with clear effort and fast breaths. Sam, Rin's firstborn, leads the group as usual since he is the eldest, followed by Sophia, Amy, Leon, Hoshi, and Nina. Six small children with distinctive sky-blue hair shining under the sun and clear blue eyes exactly like his, trying hard to complete the fifth lap around the area as their father ordered.

Dan had set their training program with extreme care and precision. In the first stage, it relies primarily on intensive physical training that will increase in intensity gradually over time and with the development and growth of their bodies. Especially since he intends to rely heavily on the Swedish military exercises that he himself practiced from the beginning of his life in this world; they are intelligently designed to raise body flexibility, strength, and coordination in a balanced and integrated way. In fact, all his current training is basically built on them.

After the children reach a fit and acceptable level in physical fitness—which he estimated would take about a year or more of regular training—they will then begin learning chakra refining with lessons in controlling it gradually and organized. First, they will start with the simple leaf-concentration exercise that teaches basic control of chakra flow. Then they will move to walking on trees and climbing them using chakra, which is a harder exercise requiring better balance. After that, walking on water, which is the hardest and requires very precise control. Later, when they master these basics, they will move to the next, more intense and advanced level of training.

Therefore, Dan currently stands with very strict, cold, and serious features as he watches the training of his first children. His eyes follow every movement accurately, noticing any laziness or slowing down. It was clear from his look that he would not be lenient with them regarding training, no matter the circumstances. He clearly preferred to be harsh and strict with his children in training so they gain the true strength and toughness necessary to survive in this harsh world, rather than weakening before them, being lenient, and neglecting their training so they become burdens and weaklings unable to protect themselves.

Especially since Dan understands well the true danger of this world; he knew about the coming wars, bloody conflicts, monsters, and powerful ninjas who will fill this world in the future. This is only part of what he saw; who knows, perhaps there are many other events not mentioned in the anime. Moreover, what he saw is enough: the Otsutsuki clan's contact with this planet is inevitable in the future, and this clan possesses characters of cosmic power levels, and who knows how many they are. Dan never intends to lose any of his children due to weakness or unreadiness, so he was determined to make them all strong enough to survive no matter what happens, even if it required him to be harsh and strict with them during their childhood years.

So, even when one of the children feels very tired and is about to grumble or ask to stop, they quickly turn to find Dan's serious and strict gaze fixed on them in complete and terrifying silence. The cold look that needs no words; then the child quickly bows their head, swallows their complaint, and completes their training with renewed effort despite the fatigue and pain in their small muscles. Dan's children, although they loved him deeply and considered him the greatest person in their eyes, also clearly feared him and were afraid of angering him or disappointing him.

The author's narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

Especially since Dan is a man of very few words with them as with everyone; he doesn't talk much or explain at length. He only gives orders in his cold, calm voice and expects immediate obedience. This silence and lack of talk greatly increased his prestige in their eyes. Also, the children are immensely impressed by their father's superhuman strength which they sometimes see when he trains. They saw him shatter massive rocks with one punch, saw him move at a speed their eyes couldn't track, and saw him stand in the air as if he were flying. All these things fill them with awe and admiration and make them want to become like him one day.

Even if one of the children tried to complain to their mother about the difficulty of the training imposed by their father, hoping for some easing or sympathy, the mothers ignore the matter completely in a gentle but firm way. They tell the child clearly that they must obey their father in everything related to training without argument or discussion. In fact, the mothers additionally urge their children to strive more and not disappoint their father, because they all knew that Dan does all this for the children's interest and protection in the future, and they trusted his judgment and decisions absolutely.

Therefore, Dan has a real and clear prestige among all his family members. Even his twelve wives, despite their deep love for him and closeness to him, none of them could challenge his decisions or oppose him in a matter he decided. His word was final and his decision was absolute. This was not just because of fear, but because of deep respect and full trust; also, their reliance on him has become an instinctive matter for them.

The children continued running, their sweat pouring, their breath heavy, their muscles aching, but they did not stop. Dan stands silently watching them with his piercing gaze. When they finally completed the fifth lap and stopped panting, he nodded his head in simple approval, then said in his cold, calm voice, "Five-minute break, then push-ups and squats." The children heard the order and immediately sat on the ground trying to catch their breath, knowing the break would be short and the training would continue. But they did not complain; they began to understand that this is their path—the path of strength set for them by their father, and the only way to become strong like him one day.

Dan looked at them while they rested—at their small, tired faces—and felt something warm in his chest despite his apparent strictness. He was proud of them, of their persistence, and for not complaining despite the fatigue. He is confident they will become strong, very strong, and that is all that matters in the end.
