In the morning, Ash pulled into the hotel parking lot. The air was cool after the night’s rain. White clouds blanketed the sky, hiding the morning sun.
Ash sat on the railing near the hotel, his eyes closed.
He’s asleep!
The girl smirked to herself and froze, watching him.
He’s so cute!
Mili giggled, catching his attention.
“Hey there, traveler.” He smiled brightly.
“Hey. Yep, that’s me!” the girl laughed happily.
I didn’t even realize how much I missed him!
It’s only been two days, but it feels like forever. I’m so happy to see her again!
The guy dove into the car and pulled a large yellow envelope from the back seat.
“Well then, here are the keys and the documents.”
Mili took everything and looked into his eyes. “You won’t regret this?”
“No,” without a hint of hesitation, he replied.
The girl hugged him and stepped back. “Thank you. You have no idea how happy I am. Driving that beauty—it's the ultimate dream!”
“Glad to hear it.”
“Just one condition.”
The guy looked at her in surprise.
“Please take my Ford in return. It came to me from my dad, and I want to thank you somehow. I wouldn’t give it to anyone, but since you’re giving me your father’s car… this is the most precious gift I can offer—from the heart.”
Ash’s eyes widened at her words. “Mili, I can’t…”
“Ash, please accept it. I already asked the person who came from you to transfer the ownership.”
Ash was stunned.

“He didn’t want to agree, but I told him I’d get mad and reveal who ruined your surprise.”
“And he believed you?” The guy was clearly surprised.
“What choice did he have?” Mili giggled.
“You’re something else. In the best way.” Ash laughed.
“The car’s yours now!” The girl handed him the keys, with a small dreamcatcher dangling from the keychain.
“Beautiful charm!” The guy examined the little trinket.
“It’s her talisman,” the girl laughed and nodded toward the red Ford.
“Thank you, Mili.”
“Thank you too.”
They exchanged shy smiles.
“The documents are in the glove box. She’s more of a vintage piece now.”
“Still, thank you for giving her to me. A gift from the heart is priceless.”
“That’s nice to hear. I was happy to meet you.” Her lips curled into a smile.
“You have no idea how happy I am. Thank you for everything!”
He hugged her gently.
“You’re warm.”
Oops, that came out!
Ash smirked. “And you’re cold!”
They both laughed.
“Are you freezing?”
“No, it’s just my body temperature.” Miliana smiled.
“So you’re a snowflake?”
“Ahaha. Yep!”
Ash helped her move her things into the new car. Then Mili stepped close and gently touched his lips with a soft kiss. He blushed and froze in surprise.
“You’re cute when you blush,” the girl beamed like sunshine.
“That was unexpected!” the guy tousled his wavy hair.
Laughter from the two lovebirds echoed across the parking lot.
Suddenly, a phone rang.
“Sorry. One sec.” Ash answered the call. “Hello?”
The girl stood close enough to hear Dany’s anxious voice.
“Mr. Kurt, your mother collapsed. The doctor’s on the way!”
“What? Why?”
Mili saw the worry flood his face.
“I don’t know. I went to the kitchen for water, and when I came back, she was already on the floor.”
“I’m coming!” Ash ended the call.
“Sorry, I have to go.”
“Of course. Good luck.”
“Thanks.”
He hugged her tightly—as if it were the last time—and jumped into the Ford.
A storm of emotions swirled inside the girl: embarrassment, worry, sadness, excitement, and joy.
Ash drove off quickly.
Mili watched him go with a longing gaze, then climbed into her car.
She sat there for a long time, thinking about everything that had happened over the past few days.
