“Yikes!…” I said to myself after reading the 5th short story, “That Dreaded Doughnut Dropper and his crew are pretty scary!…” and then I began reading the 6th short story in the book, and this is how that short story went:
“Sir Lancelot was out questing one day, and then someone began telling him that there were rumors that he was having an affair!…
“Well!,” he said indignantly, “I can assure you that those rumors are a bunch of malarkey!; and rumors in general are bad because it’s not good to bear false witness against people, and rumors are by nature likely to not be true!…” and then the person thanked Lancelot for his answer, and then the person walked away…
And then Sir Lancelot went back to focusing on the quest that was happening!, and that quest was to save a maiden from a dragon!…
And he supposed that after saving her he should probably ask her if she was single if she offered him a kiss of something, because he didn’t want for those rumors to end up being true!…
And so then he went over to where the dragon was keeping the maiden captive, and then he knocked on the dragon’s door; and then the dragon opened the door and said, “Sir Lancelot!…
So good to see you!…
And so now you have a choice!…
You can either save the maiden who’s in room #1 or you can save the 15 random people who are in room #2!…” and then Lancelot frowned and said, “But why wouldn’t I just save all 16 of them?…” and then the dragon said, “Because entering one of the rooms will cause the floor of the other room to collapse!, and the floor of one of the rooms collapsing will probably end the lives of whoever’s in the room…” and then Sir Lancelot said, “But if that’s the case then it sounds like the only way to save everyone is to not enter either of the rooms until the collapsing-floor problem is solved…” and then the dragon said, “But you don’t know how to salve the collapsing floor problem!…” and then Sir Lancelot said, “But Merlin probably does, and so I can probably just get Merlin to help me out on this mission!…” and then the dragon said, “But Merlin won’t be able to help you, because he’s currently captured by Morganna!…” and then Lancelot said, “Hmmm…
I suppose that if Morganna really is evil and has captured Merlin then that would make it more difficult for me to get Merlin to help me out on this quest…
But I still have to try!…” and then the dragon shrugged and said, “Suit yourself!…” and then Sir Lancelot headed over to Morganna’s fortress, and then he knocked on the main door of the fortress; and then Morganna soon opened the door, and then she said, “Sir Lancelot!…
So good to see you!…
But aren’t you supposed to be saving a maiden right now?…” and then Lancelot said, “I am indeed!…; but unfortunately the dragon is playing evil games, and so I kinda need to have someone who can do magic assist me in saving the maiden…” and then Morganna said, “And the first person who came to mind was me?…
I mean; that’s flattering, I suppose, but wouldn’t Merlin be a better person to invite along on the mission?…
Because, like, he’s way more experienced in doing magic than I am!…” and then Sir Lancelot said, “Merlin would indeed be a good person to help me save the maiden from the dragon, but the dragon told me that Merlin’s been captured!…” and then Morganna said, “Hmmm…
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
It sounds like that dragon may be lying to you…; and so I’d recommend going to the address where Merlin was at the last time that I visited him if you want to ask him to assist you on your quest!…” and then Morganna handed Lancelot a scroll that had an address written on it; and then Lancelot thanked her for the information, and then he headed over to the address that was written on the scroll…
Then, he soon reached the address; and then he knocked on the door, and then a person opened the door and said, “Why hello!, Sir Lancelot!… I hope that all is well with you and the other knights of the round table!…” and Lancelot was very suspicious that this person was actually just Morganna pretending to be Merlin because the beard looked fake and there were no wrinkles on the face of the person; but Lancelot still decided to play along for the sake of saving the maiden, and so he said, “Hello!…
And the other knights of the round table are all doing well as far as I know!…
And so would you be willing to help me save a maiden?…
See, I was going to save her by myself; but the dragon’s playing evil games, and it seems like the only way to save the maiden without killing other innocent people is to use magic against the dragon!…” and then the fake Merlin said, “That monster!…
Never fear!, though; because I’m very confident that we can make sure that we save the maiden without killing any innocent people, or my name’s not Merlin!…” and then Lancelot said, “Thanks!…
And so I’ll just lead you to where the dragon and the captives are at then!…” and then Sir Lancelot began leading the fake Merlin over to where the dragon was at; and then before long the 2 of them reached where the dragon was at, and then Sir Lancelot knocked on the door, and then the dragon opened the door and then looked at the fake Merlin and said, “What are you doing here?…” and then the fake Merlin said, “Rescuing the captives from you!, you villain!; and so you’d better let all of them go right now or else I’ll use magic against you!…” and then the dragon began grumbling about untrustworthy magicians, and then the dragon let all 16 of the captives leave the rooms that they’d been locked inside of; and then the dragon said, “Y’all got lucky this time, but it won’t happen again!…” and then Sir Lancelot said, “That’s right, it won’t happen again!; because I’m going to put an end to your villainy once and for all!…” and then he drew his sword and charged! towards the dragon!; but then the fake Merlin did a spell that caused Sir Lancelot to freeze in place, and then the fake Merlin said, “Sorry to prevent you from being able to prevent the dragon from being able to capture more people, but I don’t think that it’s a good idea for this fight to happen with the captives still nearby…; and so how about we get the captives far away from this place and then worry about bringing the dragon to justice later?…” and then Lancelot tried to argue with the fake Merlin, but it turned out that he was so frozen in place that he couldn’t even speak; and so then the fake Merlin used magic to pick up Sir Lancelot, and then the fake Merlin took Sir Lancelot and the now-former captives to another location; and then the fake Merlin unfroze Lancelot, and then Lancelot ran! as fast as he could back to where the dragon had been at!; but, alas, the dragon was not at the location anymore…; and so then Lancelot began grumbling about fake Merlins who were probably just Morganna in disguise!…; and then he headed back to where King Arthur was at so that he could tell him about everything that had happened during the mission…; and then he soon reached the castle and told King Arthur about everything that had happened, and then Arthur frowned and said, “That’s very bad news if Merlin is actually captured, and so how about you and I go on a mission to try n’ save Merlin from Morganna?…” and so then King Arthur and Sir Lancelot headed over to Morganna’s fortress; but then once they reached it nobody answered the door…; and then once they managed to break into the fortress they found that nobody was inside of the fortress…; and so then Lancelot sighed and said, “Well…
It seems that she’s fled away from here then…” and then Arthur said, “It sure does…
And I imagine that if Merlin’s actually captured by her then he’ll probably be at the location that she’s fled to…” and then the 2 of them decided to head back to the castle to plan a giant search for Morganna, but both of them were very worried that Morganna would be very hard to find and that it would thus be very difficult to find and rescue Merlin so that he could both be free again and be able to live happily ever after…
The End”
