Chapter 7: Ill Pay the Full Price

After applying for VIP access from the manager, Riley invited Grace and Chloe into the VIP room.

The sales associate named Katia, seeing them enter the VIP room, finally couldn't sit still any longer. Seeing the manager carrying drinks and about to personally serve them, she quickly ran over.

She reached out as if to help the manager.

The manager slightly turned to the side, looking at her with displeasure: "What are you doing? Those are Riley's clients."

"Manager, they were supposed to be my clients," Katia said anxiously.

The manager, having risen through the ranks from sales associate, immediately sensed something was wrong.

She narrowed her eyes and asked, "Then why is Riley serving them?"

"I..." Katia hesitated, clearly unable to bring herself to explain her actions.

The manager sighed, speechless. "You've been doing this for two or three years, and you still make such a basic mistake? Didn't we learn in training that there are many wealthy but unassuming customers? Don't judge people by their appearance, have you forgotten all that?"

"It wasn't the manager, it was her..."

The customer herself said it was too expensive, and she overheard it...

Otherwise, she wouldn't have acted this way.

"Forget about this sale. Stay away. The customer's buying desire is very strong right now; don't cause them trouble."

The manager glared at her, picked up a drink, and pushed open the VIP room door, walking inside.

Katia stomped her foot in frustration. Her commission had vanished just like that; she was so stupid!

In the VIP room, there were drinks and fruit. The manager even asked if they needed any cakes or afternoon tea.

Because VIP customers usually spend a long time choosing jewelry.

Grace simply replied, "No need, we're in a hurry."

A moment later, Riley approached carrying an exquisite tray. She knelt down beside Chloe, one knee on each side. She clearly recognized her younger sister as the star of the day, so she professionally introduced the jewelry on the tray to Chloe.

The kneeling service made Chloe feel a little uncomfortable, but the beautiful jewelry on the tray instantly attracted her attention.

Grace also noticed that the high-end designs were significantly more elaborate and luxurious, with larger and more dazzling diamonds.

However, the overly extravagant necklaces and rings seemed impractical for everyday wear; Chloe was only a freshman and had little opportunity to wear them.

But one bracelet caught Grace's eye. Its design was unique and simple, yet incredibly ornate, set with five diamonds and embellished with gemstones of various colors—truly eye-catching and beautiful.

"How about this one?" Grace reached out and picked it up, looking at Chloe as she asked.

Chloe nodded, her eyes sparkling. "It's beautiful."

Riley, seeing this, quickly added, "This bracelet is a new design this year, a limited edition of only two thousand pieces worldwide. The single diamond is 1.86 carats, made entirely of top-grade natural South African diamonds, and the gemstones are all natural."

Grace tried it on her sister, then on herself, and found it looked excellent.

"I'll take two of these," Grace said, smiling at her sister. "Matchmaking, one for each of us."

  Chloe nodded happily.

Riley also exchanged an excited glance with the manager. The bracelet cost 9.888 Dollars per piece, nearly a 10 Dollars!

In the end, Grace spent a little over 200 Dollars at the store. She secretly calculated in her mind that 200 Dollars was equivalent to over 2 million Dollars in her previous life.

Now, spending it in her LetsChat balance felt like nothing.

The manager and Riley warmly escorted them to the door. Grace stopped and turned back, immediately spotting the sales assistant from the first store.

Katia, feeling Grace's gaze, instinctively avoided eye contact, looking quite awkward and uncomfortable.

Grace simply smiled slightly, not bothering the sales assistant. With her current wealth, she didn't need to argue with a sales assistant.

Besides, for salespeople, commission is paramount. Her commission had been taken by someone else, and she probably wouldn't be happy for a while.

  A little lesson was enough.

Later, Grace took her sister to buy clothes, shoes, and bags. Seeing the Cartier bags they were carrying, the sales assistants in the other stores were incredibly enthusiastic, not daring to be negligent.

Of course, Grace didn't disappoint these sales assistants. Her enthusiastic service earned her a generous commission. Finally, the two of them couldn't carry any more bags and found a restaurant to sit down.

  "Are you happy?"

Grace asked her sister. Chloe smiled serenely and nodded gratefully, "Happy, thank you, sis."

Grace smiled too, took out her phone, considered for a moment, and transferred ten Dollars to her sister: "Buy whatever you want in the future, and tell me if you need more."

Chloe looked at the ten Dollars LetsChat transfer notification and was immediately too shocked to accept it.

"Sis, this is too much. 20 Cents a month is enough for me," Chloe said.

"It's not much, accept it quickly. I'll transfer you living expenses every month from now on. Don't worry about Mom's."

Chloe hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

This restaurant specializes in French cuisine. It was the first time for both of them to be there. Grace ordered a lot of seafood that her sister loved, as well as a bottle of red wine.

One after another, the exquisitely presented dishes were served, looking incredibly appetizing.

Chloe picked up her knife and fork, about to eat the baked escargot covered in whipped cream and cheese, when she accidentally bumped the handle of the knife against a wine glass.

  "Bang!"

  "Ah—!"

The glass shattered on the floor with a sharp sound, followed by a loud scream that suddenly echoed throughout the restaurant.

A woman who happened to be passing by their table turned to Chloe, her face full of anger, and snapped, "What were you doing? Can't you see where you're going?!"

  "I'm sorry, sister, I didn't mean to!"

The bespectacled man with the woman glanced at Chloe, then at Grace, who had stood up, a hint of amazement flashing in his eyes.

"Oh, it's nothing, just a little wet on the toe of your shoe." The bespectacled man had initially wanted to stand up for his woman, but seeing how beautiful the two sisters were, he decided to be a gentleman.

The woman turned and glared at him angrily, saying, "What do you mean 'nothing's wrong'? These shoes are brand new, almost two Dollars a pair, and it's the first time I've worn them. Besides, this material can't get wet or get stained, these shoes are ruined!"

Upon hearing that they cost almost two Dollars, the man knew he must have paid with his own card, and he couldn't help but feel a pang of regret.

The woman turned back to Chloe angrily, "What's the use of 'sorry'?"

Grace glanced at the woman's white high heels; indeed, the toe was stained with red wine, and it was her sister's carelessness that caused it. They were at fault first.

So even though the woman's reaction was a bit strong, Grace still politely said, "Sister, don't be angry. We'll compensate you for these shoes. Show me the order details or the official website price, and I'll pay the full price."
