XXXV: NEW REIGN

“URGH… RAXX! RAXX, I SAY,” Braako snapped angrily in response to how the emperor reacted to his and the other Galactic Deciders’ ‘success’ in ‘killing’ Magnus. “Tis a whole thracking load of raxx! How DARE the emperor speak to us… TO ME in such an utterly disrespectful way! Does he not know what we are all capable of??? WHAT I AM CAPABLE OF?!?!”

Whilst Braako continued his ‘temper tantrum’ his fellow ‘siblings’ Medo, Rayven, Kai, and Xan all sat in separate locations with the Grand Galactic Deciding Temple’s Convening Hall late into the night-cycle after their individual ‘emotional processing's’.

“Braako… Steady your emotions,” Medo stressed. “‘Twas not that horrible.”

“Not horrible?” Braako asked whilst looking directly over at Medo. “Tis easy for you to say, Sister! You were not the one who the emperor was berating like a thracking CHILDLING!”

After his second yell of rage, Braako’s eyes glowed bright, stark white, to which Kai and Xan both noted.

“Forget about what the emperor said, Braak,” Rayven said to the furious Commanding-Leader of the Galactic Deciders. “All he has is words…. WORDS. Nothing else but that. We are ‘beyond’ his words, brother.”

“Really?” Kai asked Rayven. “Are we now, Sister? The last time I checked, we are bound by nothing but his words for they are what keeps our emotional levels stabilized at their baselines… ALL OF US ARE.”

Lowering his brow, Braako said, “No… NO, RAYVEN. You are right. We are BEYOND the emperor’s words… FAR BEYOND.”

Looking down at his hands, Braako stated, “If Voltair had seen what I did to Rannuk and its KREN-ALIGNED ‘denizens’ then maybe…”

“What, Braako?” Kai asked his ‘brother’. “Then maybe what???”

Glaring at his hands still, Braako continued, “Then MAYBE he would have respected me instead of reviled me… US.”

Looking at the rest of his ‘siblings’ now, Braako stated, “What I did to Rannuk was god-like… THRACKING GOD-LIKE and I STRONGLY believe that we all hold the power to break worlds just as the Oath-Breaker did. All that we must do to access that power is disregard our emotional baselines and release our emotions… FULLY.”

“Disregard our emotional baselines?” Kai said in confusion. “Braako… Are you thracking mad???”

“Kai… Cease,” Medo quickly snapped back at her ‘brother’.

“No, Medo. I shall not ‘cease’,” Kai defiantly rebelled. “Not any longer. Braako, you have crossed the line.”

Rising to his feet now, Kai glared at Braako and said, “First, you KILL Anora and now you wish to break away from baseline and access our emotions? Our FULL emotions??? You do realize, Braako, that if we were to commit such an atrocious act then we would be defying the emp--”

“What did you say?” Braako said with a blank expression on his face.

  “What?” Kai huffed in confusion.

“About Anora… What did you just say about Anora???”

Medo had a worrisome expression on her face now as Rayven rolled her eyes and sighed, “Ugh… Thrack. Here we go again.”

Tightening his jaw, and keeping his chin held high, Kai stated, “You killed Anora, Braako. I saw it. The others saw it. The only person here who did not see you SNAP our sister’s neck like a twig with your telekinesis was Rayven….”

“KAI, CEASE!!!” Medo stressed again, now having raised herself up to her feet with her fists clenched.

Xan remained seated with his head down in shame as Kai looked at Medo and snapped, “NO, MEDO! I SHALL NOT CEASE! Not until I have finished what I need to say! WHAT I HAVE BEEN NEEDING TO SAY!!!”

“Go on then,” Braako pressed. “SAY IT, KAI.”

Lowering his brow, Kai looked back at the strangely calm Commanding-Leader and said, “You have gone mad, Braako… MAD, I SAY! Ever since Magnus left us, all you have been concerned with is living up to the ‘cursed legacy’ that he left behind! You wanted to become a ‘World-Breaker’… ‘THE BREAKER OF WORLDS’ like he was, but you can never be. Even with the new power that you wield, brother, you can never be like Magnus was before his ‘oath-breaking’. Do you wish to know why that is???”

With a pained look on her face, Medo pleaded, “KAI, PLEASE… I beg of you to--”

“THRACKING SILENCE, MEDO!” Kai snapped. “Let our ‘Fearless Leader’ answer my question!”

Narrowing his eyes at Kai, Braako simply asked, “Why? Why… IS THAT???”

Gritting his teeth, Kai snapped, “Because he was a grand Voltairan… ONCE. Something you shall NEVER be, Braako.”

“Really?” Braako asked. “Tis what you truly think, Kai?”

Glancing back at Xan, Kai nodded to him before back to Braako to say, “YE--”

  CRACK!

With quick use of his telekinesis, Braako latched onto Kai’s head and spun it around to where his eyes were now looking upon Xan once more.

Gasping, Xan stared at his ‘brother’, who was staring right back at him after Braako had SNAPPED his neck without question.

Rayven’s eyes widened as Medo gasped, “No…”

  KA-THUD!

A few milli-cycles later, after the merciless breaking of his neck, Kai’s body… CORPSE fell belly down to the ground before his few remaining kinsmen.

Whilst Kai’s still widened eyes stared up at the Convening Hall’s ceiling, a deafening silence had struck the now FOUR Galactic Deciders.

Treading over to Kai’s motionless corpse, Braako, who now had slightly darkened circles around his eyes, looked upon his ‘brother’ and shuttered, “No one asked for your opinion… NON-BELIEVER.”

Looking at Kai’s body still in utter shock, Xan stammered, “You… You kuh-kuh-killed him. You killed Kuh-Kai…”

  “Yes… THAT I DID,” Braako proudly confirmed. “I ended ‘Brother Kai’s’ life-cycle because he was a ‘Non-Believer’.”

  “Nuh-Non-Buh-Buh-Believer?”

“YES… A Non-Believer. He was stuck in the ‘ways of old’. Stuck under the emperor’s twisted, gilded tongue. We all were… ONCE. Now, we are beyond the Voltair’s words… BEYOND HIS RULE. Every single one of us that STILL remains.”

“What are we going to do?” Medo helplessly asked Braako. “With Kai now… ‘gone’ what are we going to do if someone finds his vessel?”

“They shall not find his vessel,” Braako stated. “No one shall. I shall dispose of it myself.”

“And what shall we say when someone asks us where Kai is?” Rayven asked Braako whilst showing no emotion towards her brother’s murder.

Narrowing his eyes, Braako smirked, “The emperor wanted to know where the

‘Oath-Breaker’s Vessel’ was… YES? Well, what if one of us ‘went off’ to search for it amongst the broken remains of planet Rannuk?”

Rayven smirked now as well as Medo stepped forward to ask, “But what about Kai’s return? What shall Emperor Voltair… OR ANYONE ELSE say when Kai doesn’t return from his ‘journey’?”

“Tis shall not be a problem, Sister,” Braako replied. “In three day-cycles, during the Grand Festival that the emperor will be holding for our ‘glorious defeat’ over the Oath-Breaker, we shall reveal our TRUE selves to the people of Voltaira and the many that lie beyond this planet on other worlds all across the galactic sector… AND THE INFINITE ONES THAT LIE BEYOND IT.”

Scrunching her brow in confusion, Medo asked, “Infinite? Braako, what are you talking about???”

“What I am talking about sister is the coming dawn of a new age,” Braako excitedly. “THE AGE OF THE BREAKERS!!! After breaking Rannuk, I ventured all across the galaxy. When I scaled every square inch of it, I ventured beyond it to OTHER galaxies where several other worlds that TEAMING life-cycles are located. Some ‘co-exist’ with one another… And others do not.”

Facing the others fully now, Braako said with a wide, twisted grin on his pale face, “Siblings, I tell you all right thracking now that we shall be the ones who will unite them all… AS ONE under our rule.”

  “Our… rule?” Medo repeated awkwardly.

“Yes, Sister… OUR RULE,” Braako smirked. “We are beyond this world… We are beyond its people… And we are ESPECIALLY beyond the emperor. No more shall we be bound by his thracking words that are the equivalent to festering raxx-piles! No… From this day-cycle onward, we act on our own will and our own words! We shall start a new reign! A BETTER ONE! ONE THAT IS FAR GRANDER THAN THE THRACKING EMPEROR’S!!!”

“When?” Rayven asked, gaining a glance from Medo. “When shall we begin this ‘new reign’... My Lord?”

“DURING ‘THE GRAND CELEBRATION’,” Braako answered. “Then the emperor ‘falsely’ gives praise to us for our victory, before the ‘Grand Public’, we shall then reveal our true selves to the masses.”

“And how shall we do this?” Medo asked. “How shall we reveal our ‘true selves’?”

“BY BREAKING THE EMPEROR RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM,” Braako mercilessly uttered. “Along with all of his Knights, his Palace, his Empire… EVERYTHING!!! WE SHALL BREAK THRACKING EVERYTHING THAT EMPEROR VOLTAIR HAS EVER BUILT! AND THERE SHALL BE NOBODY WHO CAN STOP US FROM DOING SO! THRACKING NOBODY!!!!!!!!”

“Nuh-No,” Xan stammered, causing Braako and the others to look at their lesser sibling immediately.

“WHAT?” Braako darted whilst looking down at the ‘runt’.

Scrunching his brow, Xan said, “I… I s-s-aid no, Bruh-Braako.”

  “No???”

  “NO, BRAAKO. Whu-What you are saying… What yuh-yuh-you puh-plan to duh-duh-do… I… I cannot be a puh-puh-part of it.

Braako now lowered his brow as Rayven cursed, “Xan… You thracking kroone.”

“Xan,” Medo gasped before turning her eyes back upon Braako.

“Don’t do it,” Medo now desperately pleaded to the ‘new’ Breaker of Worlds. “Please, Braako! Don’t…”

“Non-believer,” Braako gritted whilst glaring at poor Xan, who set his eyes back down upon Kai’s cold, dead corpse.

With eyes now glowing bright, stark white again, Braako lifted his open, right palm slowly and directed it towards Xan as he said in a louder… MORE ANGRY tone of voice, “NON-BELIEVER…”

Rayven kept her eyes stuck on Xan as Medo continued to cry, “BRAAKO, DO NOT DO IT! PLEASE!!! DO NOT DO IT! HE DOES NOT MEAN WHAT HE SAYS! HE…”

“NON-BELIEVER!!!!” Braako angrily raged, cutting off Medo’s hopeless pleas, as he used his newfound ‘breaking ability’ to latch onto Xan’s tiny, frail body and…
