“AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!” Magnus cried out after he had awoken from his nightmare.
SHOOTING UP from the dirt ground of a small, ‘primitive-looking’ hut, the Breaker of Worlds continued to let out a few more screams of terror.
Heeding these cries was the ‘planet-leaping’ Jorrakan, who still bore his cloak, but now with his hood pulled back to reveal his ‘flat-topped’ head.
With his beady eyes widened in concern, the Jorrakan looked to Magnus and asked, “What’s the disturbance?! WHAT’S WRONG?!?!”
Diverting his eyes towards the Jorrakan, Magnus acted on his warrior-instincts and immediately thrusted himself towards the unknown alien being.
Colliding with his abdomen, Magnus flew himself and the Jorrakan out of the small hut and into the jungle brush that surrounded them.
Throwing the Jorrakan up against the thick and wide trunk of a nearly ONE-HUNDRED-FOOT-TALL tree with enough force to make his three hearts skip a beat, the maddened World-Breaker glared at his prey with bloodshot eyes.
“WHO ARE YOU?!” Magnus demanded in the confused face of the Jorrakan. “Who are you?! Speak! SPEAK!!!!”
“KAZERONUZAKUS!” the young Jorrakan spurted out in fear. “KUH-KAZERONUZAKUS AZIR!”
Scrunching his brow in confusion, Magnus said in a less angered, but more befuddled tone, “What?”
Hyperventilating a bit, the Jorrakan said again, “I… I said that my name is Kazeronuzakus Azir… But everyone just calls me ‘Kaze’, for short.”
Magnus now narrowed his eyes as the Jorrakan, who requested, “Uh… Could… Could you unhand me, please? You are beginning to hurt m--”
“WHERE AM I???”
“On a moon! The ‘jungle moon’ of Rannuk.”
“Jungle moon…. Of Rannuk?”
“YES… Well, sort of. I guess I should say that it’s now the FORMER jungle moon of Rannuk.”
“What? Former??? Why do you say this? WHY?!”
“Rannuk was destroyed. Two day-cycles ago… RANNUK WAS DESTROYED. Urgh… Could you let me go now please? You are hurting me, ‘friend’.”
Unhanding Kaze immediately, Magnus fell back a few steps as the Jorrakan landed on his light feet.
Shaking out his cloak, Kaze cursed, “Urgh… THRACK! What was that about, you skogger?! I save your life-cycle and this is the ‘grand thanks’ that I get?! THROWN UP AGAINST A THRACKING TREE?!”
“Two day-cycles?” Magnus repeated in a confused tone.
“Urgh… YES. Two day-cycles ago, I saved your life-cycle from being blown into O-THRACKING-BLIVION by those Decider-Thrackoids from the ‘SLAVE-PLANET’.”
“WHAT?”
“Are you deaf, skogger?! I said that I saved your life-cycle from those Decider-Thrackoids of the OPPRESSIVE RAXX-HOLE that is Voltaira! WHICH BRINGS ME TO ASK… What in the starblazes did you do that was so thracking awful that it justified ALL NINE of them to leave their ‘golden slave-thrones’ to come all the thrackin’ way to Rannuk???”
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
“What happened to Rannuk?”
“I ALREADY THRACKING TOLD YOU, KROONE. It was destroyed. Destroyed by those raxx-eating ‘GALACTIC DREGS’ of the VOLTAIRAN EMPEROR.”
“No,” Magnus gasped whilst shaking his head and back-pedaling away, just as he did in his nightmare. “No, no, no. You lie… YOU LIE!!!”
“No. I’m not lying,” Kaze replied with his scaly brow lowered. “I speak the truth… Magnus. That’s your name, right? That’s what I heard those ‘Decider-Thracks’ call you back on Rannuk before they blew it all into the Outer-World.”
“LIES!!! Rannuk is not gone! TIS NOT GONE!!!”
“TURN AROUND. Look up into the skyways and see for yourself.”
Keeping his brow scrunched, Magnus did as Kaze told him to do, turned around, looked up into the Moon’s skyways and…
“NO,” Magnus gasped again after looking up to see the BROKEN REMNANTS of planet Rannuk slowly scattering off into the far, far away distance of the Grand Void.
Falling down to his knees, just as he did in his nightmare, Magnus continued to stare up at the broken Rannukan home world in utter SHOCK as Kaze lowered his brow in frustration.
“I barely got you… AND MYSELF off of Rannuk before that crazed thracker; the one with the beard and weird haircut who was kicking the raxx outta you the most, broke it apart like it was made outta impenaglass,” Kaze went on to explain as Magnus continued to stare up at his former Keeper, Lero’s, home world. “That was two day-cycles ago. Ever since then, I’ve been watching over you here, at my ‘base camp’, tending to your wounds… Which have almost ALL ‘miraculously’ healed themselves except for a few meaningless ‘nicks and bruises’ on your face. WHICH BRINGS ME TO ANOTHER QUESTION… What are you, ‘friend’? Where do you hail from?”
Magnus did not respond. He merely kept on staring up at Rannuk. A world that he, himself, DAMNED to a gruesome fate ever since he first stepped foot upon its ‘formerly unbroken’ surface.
“MAGNUS, I asked you a question,” Kaze ushered in again as the World-Breaker continued to stare up at the obliterated Rannukan home world. “WHERE DO YOU HAIL FROM??? What are you?”
Whilst Magnus kept his bloodshot eyes perched upon the scattered and jagged stretches of soil and rock that used to be Rannuk painted across the jungle moon’s skyways, Kaze took a step forward to ask in a sterner sounding tone of voice, “WHO ARE YOU?”
_
I AM PAIN, BOY.
I am death.
I am destruction… A DESTROYER.
I am the sole-killer of TRILLIONS of life-forms.
I am the SOLE-CAUSE for the breaking of the world that lies before our very waking eyes, sprawled across the skyways taunting me… TORTURING ME.
Tis a painful reminder. A painful reminder of how I DOOMED yet another ‘peaceful race’ to extinction and its world to UTTER ANNIHILATION.
Who am I, boy… JORRAKAN???
I am…
_
“THE BREAKER OF WORLDS,” Magnus blurted aloud as he felt a ‘crippling’ feeling with his chest and gut.
Scrunching his brow in curiosity, Kaze said, “Huh? What… OH THRACK!!!”
Overwhelmed with discovering the breaking of Rannuk, Magnus suddenly became very light-headed, fell backwards, and lost all consciousness.
