Chapter 88: Who Ends a Conversation Like That?

Located on her bed with her snaky friend and sporting a posture that Anazenpha could only giggle a happy tempo at seeing, the noble humalian had herself prostrated on her knees, with her forehead buried deep into the rolls of her bedsheet. But all Ana's snickering did was embolden Yuuvia to double down on expressing her satisfaction; if her squeal of unbridled joy hadn't made her stance clear, she was unquestionably delighted by her circumstances.

"On this day, so as to did the cloud-revering dove, I offer up this tribute to thee, O God. Blessed be the future, cherished shalt past memories be. O God, sculpter of all, forever shall I be one with gratitude for your boundless generosity, and may my joy reinvigorate your exalted existence and essence to further bless your opuscule upon our world," Yuuvia proclaimed devotely and excentirily into her bed, leaving her words muffled to the befuddledly endeared Anazenpha. While paying no heed to her sleepwear being inappropriate attire for religious prayers, Yuuvia continued on and on with countless prayers focused around expressing delight and satisfaction.

Seeing the bizarre sight through her Serpent Sircles glasses, the large circular sunglasses, Anazenpha lightly twiddled her thumbs. Unsure how to feel, mainly from not knowing what such a prayer was intended for, Anazenpha decided that perpetuating her giggling was her simplest course of action, for a little bit longer at least.

"Was doing a pray for me necessary?" Anazenpha murmured, sounding somewhat confused, despite the swishing motions of her little snake tail, displaying she understood the prayer's intended meaning subconsiously. That, or the simple fact of her getting to safely see Yuuvia, even in a limited capacity through her mostly lidded eyes, was more than enough to satiate her stigma.

Dutifully huffing in a way that bore no indignation, Yuuvia double-shoved her hands against her bed to aggressively swing herself up, yet still remaining dignified as she did so. Following her shooting a little puff of air out of her mouth, which sounded like a musical jingle, to knock her bangs out of her face, Yuuvia diligently adjusted her forehead-mounted curio thigh band as she braced herself to defend her actions: "Of course it is, thanking the god for such a splended blessing is no more natural than breathing from those who breathe. Or a fish swimming. I mean, getting to have a solo sleepover with you is also no different to finding, so... I suppose having the riches stigma is a blessing for once."

Anazenpha lightly nodded in a lost fashion, again not following what her friend was going on about before chalking it up to Yuuvia having become comfortable enough around her to openly be enthusiastic about something other than noble aesthetics. That was probably it, or so Anazenpha decided on.

So, as Yuuvia lightly drummed her fingers against the grey, glass-panel-looking left palm, which oddly matched the prayer she'd previously vocalised, Anazenpha had a thought occur to her after recognising that the drumming and prayer were identical. "Now that I think about it, you didn't stumble over a single world- word of that pray thing. How cool."

"Yeah... when I went through a phase of wanting to become the pope, before realising how boring having to preach every day would be, I spent a comendible amount of time perfecting all the prayers I could get my father to procure for me," Yuuvia grumbled sheepishly, whilst she changed up the rhythm of her tapping, causing the chime-like reverb of her palm to shift to a much softer key. Anazenpha's tail happily bounced at the key shift.

"So... what does the prayer you said mean? Is it like when Auntie says to thank the food for being food? ...Wait, that's not what she says..."

Aided by the distraction that was her verbal slip-up and follow-up mental tribulations of trying to recall the correct set of words in the main humalian language, Anazenpha resumed the usual state she had her eyes settled in: fully shut. Thanks to that little bit of fortune, Anazenpha paid no heed to the happenings around her as Yuuvia was moments away from having her soul implode, practically a living lighthouse with how illuminated the blushing of her cheeks was: "I... I... Shouldn't the meaning be... self-explanatory?"

  "Is it?

  "..."

  "Yuvi?"

When Anazenpha swirved her head to the side, confusedly, Yuuvia snapped her hand to her noble nose and strongly pinched the bridge of it, before eratically nodding in response. Even with its outwardly positive-feining appearance, it wasn't all that convincing to Yuuvia, leading her to halt her nodding and slump her head as a thought transpired in the coils of her head: "I can't just up and say I blurted out a marriage prayer... I mean, I would at my wedding, but I'd die if Ana figures out my blunder... I wonder if the embarrassment or Ana's reaction would kill me first?"

Unlike the face-slapping Yuuvia, Anazenpha was wholly convinced; she could only go off the prior wafting of air from the frazzled girl's nodding, seeing how the demon girl still kept her eyes shut. But what the plenchona was open about was vocalising her hypothesis on what the meaning behind the humalian-styled prayer could possibly be.

"Sooo... is the payer for hoping the bond between us will last forever?"

"You could say that...," Yuuvia murmured meekly as she rubbed her head awkwardly, paying no attention to where she aimed her finger, ultimately leading her to rub her metalic, thick, glowing pale lavender thigh band. As she continued to rub her fingers against the slick surface while ignoring the way the metalic band shimmered, it took Yuuvia a second to notice the weight increasingly being applied on top of her head, forcing her to crain her neck slightly downwards until a silvery substance slowly rippled over her face. It was none other than Yuuvia's Silvery Morphing Slime: the fully opaque silvery slime that's base form is usually the size of a football, and is basically a gift from Hlyswo.

"It's Morp!" Anazenpha exclaimed happily as she reached out and plucked Morp off of Yuuvia's face with a light 'plop.'

Instinctively wiping her face despite no residue of any kind remaining, Yuuvia said softly, "So you went with that name for them, have you? And here I thought you were dead set on Machiquloviko."

"Yeah... I didn't think a traditional demon name would've been a good fit for anyone, demonification and all... or so cousin said," Anazenpha explained as she pressed her chin right into Morp's cool and squishy surface. Lying in place on the bed near Yuuvia, Anazenpha allowed her mind to settle. She recalled the conversation she had with Lizu and Inkaro, seemingly out of the blue. The emergent thought caused her smooth tail swishing to stiffen into a ticking clockhand pace as she tightened her hug against Morp, to the point the gelatinous artefact took on an uneven hourglass figure. So softly sighing as that thought repeatedly crossed her mind, Ana raised her gaze and boldly opened her eyes, revealing them to Yuuvia without giving the noble humalian a second to brace herself.

"Also, you pronounced it correctly," Anazenpha added, trying to come off nonchalant and not like having her eyes fully open was all that big of a deal.

Even if it had been a verbal love confession, Yuuvia didn't perceive a single decibel of Anazenpha's comment, already having been swept up in the sparking light green to deep teal eyes, with a faint yellow barrier between them, that Anazenpha possessed. Ana's eyes were simply stunning to Yuuvia; nothing else could dream of comparing to them, not even the idea of defeating Lizu came anywhere near despite it being dethroned from first place seconds ago. What's more, whether it be from her being a snake fanatic or her growing feeling for Ana, Yuuva was overwhelmed.

Tilting her head to the side once again, only from a horizontal angle, Anazenpha was baffled by Yuuvia's sudden silence.

Yuuvia just sat there before she had a tiny nosebleed. Another stretch of silences comenced as Yuuvia reached for and used a handkerchief to wipe the blood off her face. Only once the blood was gone and her pupils had dilated back to normal from their brief slits, did Anazenpha will herself to break the silence, hoping to not let Yuuvia dwell on whatever caused her sudden nosebleed.

  "Is that normal?"

Anazenpha jerked sharply before slapping her face into Morp's wiggly body, outraged at herself for asking such a dumb question. Not seeing anything weird and having expected such a question, given how abrupt the nose bleed was, Yuuvia asked her own question to get clarification for her answer: "For me or in general?"

"...yes?" Anazenpha murmured, still eighty percent sure that asking Yuuvia her initial question was beyond rude.

"Puft, that response reminds me of what Hyl... the Stigmai of Riches's friend said when they tagged on with that Riches to annoy me a few years back." Yuuvia shivered at the thought, just having to recall dealing with basically two Hlyswo gave her the heebie-jeebies, even now.

"Stigmai can be friends?!" Anazenpha asked excitedly, already swooshing to an upright sitting position to eagerly listen to Yuuvia's words properly, while sporting sparkles across every inch of her eyes. Yuuvia nodded, cheeks faintly blushing from Ana's intense gaze being so avidly focused on her.

"Yeah, they were some shadowy dude-shaped one in their energy form. Hmph, and can you believe they were somehow more annoying than Riches? I mean, why'd they have to put little behind every word they used when referring to me? It's so condescending, and it's somehow worse because I don't think they intended it to come off that way, can you believe that!"

The door to the room abruptly opened, leading Yuuvia to scream as her venting-empowered focus was shattered.

"Lady Yuuvia, no shouting, it's unbecoming of a lady to vent in front of guests," Unuvi stated calculatively as she entered the bedroom with a silver tray of breakfast goodies in hand.
