A lot of readers worry when they start a new story. And honestly, that fear makes sense. You find something you love... and then the author disappears. Life happens, motivation fades, the story never gets finished.
So I want to be clear about where I stand.
This is not a short project. Unless something serious happens in my life (which I hope it doesn't), I'm not here to write a few dozen chapters and call it done. I've had this story in my head for a long time, and the version I'm building has the potential to reach hundreds of chapters. Possibly more than a thousand. That's not hype. That's simply the scope of what I've planned.
And this is only one Chronicle.
Some of you noticed the subtitle on the book cover: A Great Realm Portal Chronicle. That's intentional. This story exists inside a larger universe, and there's another Chronicle already mostly written, following a different character. It'll come out when the time is right.
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
So no, this isn't one of those "write and vanish" situations.
One more thing about the book cover. It was commissioned from a professional artist. No AI. I paid real money for it because I'm in this for the long haul.
I also love seeing the discussions about the science and tech in the story.
This is Magitech. There's science, there's magic (maybe later in the story), and sometimes the line between them is intentionally blurred. Some of your theories are getting close to things I can't confirm yet. Others are touching on mysteries that won't fully make sense until later.
Questions about why certain technologies exist, or why some things feel familiar to Earth, are tied directly to the plot.
Those answers are coming. Just not yet.
