Hello everyone, Kaniki here! It has been four months since I uploaded my story, and I honestly feel immense gratitude toward the readers who follow this journey of mine.
It's kind of crazy that I almost have 200 followers now. I'd say my first time on RR was a bit rough. I didn't do any marketing, strategy, stock up on backlogs, or set up a Patreon or social media, or whatever. I don't even have a good blurb (or novel's synopsis), nor a book cover.
Honestly, I spent about half a month drawing the novel cover myself while still working on my final project, which was pretty crazy. Then stuff happened, and I got too busy, so I had to reduce my updates to two chappies per week.
If you're wondering why I did this before learning the strategies, it was because one of my friends encouraged me to upload my story here so that he could read it. He’s kinda cool, and I'm quite fond of him, except I haven't heard about him reading my story yet.
When I asked why he hadn't read it, he kinda avoided answering. Well, maybe he's just busy? (Well, my friend, if you are reading this, then I hope you have a wonderful time. Yes, I'm guilt-tripping you.)
But over time, I've learned how to do these things. It's still a bit hard, though, since I'm not really good at English (I'm only good at reading). I have to spend about half a day editing a single chapter, not to mention I get distracted a lot.
For your information, I don't have any experience in writing. I did write from time to time, but never had the nerve to publish it.
I'm not an artist. Calling myself an artist feels very lame since I didn't study art in school or through any formal means. Art is just a hobby for when I'm bored. I also don’t open commissions nor freelance for drawing.
I don't know about my readers, but I'm an introvert, I have ADHD, and Social Anxiety Disorder (and some signs of autism). You could also guess it from my writing tone, I may be a bit immature and funny.
My country is rather underdeveloped, so they've never heard of ADHD and think that Social Anxiety Disorder can be treated by just going outside and talking to new people. Well, that's technically true, I guess?
My parents think that I'm very normal, so they don't think much of it. My family is rather toxic, but, well, I still love them.
Anyway, now for the important notice:
1. Travel and Updates:
I will have to fly back to my hometown to take care of my grandmother today (Wednesday).
She's very ill now, at 93 years old. I will spend about a month in her hospital taking care of her, so I will be very busy at that time. I hope she's alright. She promised that she would live until my sister marries, which is why my sister still hasn't married yet.
Now, you might think, "Oh, I've heard this a lot from authors; nothing new." Yes, I know, I was once a reader like you, so I feel a bit bad right now xD. The journey will be very arduous since my hometown is currently 10 degrees Celsius, which is very cold. The temperature I'm comfortable with and currently in is 30 degrees Celsius, so you can probably guess that I won't be able to cope with that cold. (I have sinusitis, and I'm skinny)
And to be honest, I also kind of don't want to go back there. There are a lot of difficult people there, and the crime rate is worse than my place rn. I'm quite a shy and cautious person, so I don't really trust them. (I don't want to disclose much since someday someone I know might read this. I'm gonna get bullied for this.)

You could also say that I'm a nerd. I don't have much experience taking care of people, and I also don't have experience traveling too far alone for a long time. I'm like a maiden in a greenhouse; my parents forbade me from playing with other children when I was in middle school, and they still forbid me from staying overnight at my friends' houses, even now that I'm an adult. When I go out, I must return home before 10 PM.
Anyway, I'm gonna wish my grandma luck and pray for her to get well soon.
2. Upcoming Work:
I might have to go to work soon. My father urges me to work. He asked me what I would want to do, and when I said I'm going to work online, he said, "No!" then asked again what I would want to do. Bruh?
Well, I don't know, the thought of working with other people kinda makes me sick: too much stress, too much thinking, pressure, too many eyes on me, and too many unwritten rules.
My mother is very extroverted, so she always wants me to pay attention to everything everyone says, to remember everything. She has anger issues and insomnia, so every day, my family becomes very lively when she comes home. (My father is the strongest in the house, by the way; it's crazy he doesn't have any illness yet when pretty much everyone in my family does, how?)
And if that time comes when I start working, I'm not sure if I'll even be able to write as usual.
3. Cover and Illustration:
This is quite a fun part, so I will leave a poll at the end of this notice.
Firstly, the cover. I just added a tiny little Isa to the cover. What do you think?
Secondly, about character illustrations: Do you prefer character illustrations? (I will draw them myself. I'm still quite skeptical about using AI for it.) For now, I will add a little illustration chapter after each arc, or just cram it into a single chapter, idk (if I have time to draw, of course).
But, well, if I draw them myself, then be warned that I hold a lot of power over it (that’s why Isidora has an NSFW version… and Isa has a bratty giggle version). I have too much power in my hands!
4. Patreon:
Yes, you guessed it, this is the main part: I've opened a Patreon.
I have a lot of books I plan for the future (if I can really write all of them, lol). Around 8 books are in my mind.
Well, they share the same verse, not the same world. Book 1 (Isidora) took inspiration from LOTM, Book 2 is from SS, Book 3 is LitRPG, Book 4 is Magical Girl, Book 5 is Game World. Book 6 is kind of more like SS and Limbus. Book 7, I don't know yet; I kind of thought about that one when I was still very young, so it has many cringe elements.
But really, I'm not sure if I could sustain myself from writing. My dream is, you guessed it, to create my own universe, like the Nasuverse (Fate franchise). But yes, if I ever talk about it to my family, I'm pretty sure they're going to laugh. So I learned most of these things, like drawing, coding, and writing, to ensure I could have a path to that dream.

5. Fixed Schedule in December:
So, from December, I will fix my release schedule to 3-2 chapters per week consecutively.
What does that mean? It means I will release 5 chapters every two weeks.
The schedule will alternate weekly between these two patterns:
?? 2 Chapters, 1st Week: Wednesday and Saturday
?? 3 Chapters, 2nd Week: Monday, Thursday, and Sunday
And then rotate back to 2 chapters.
The Patreon schedule would likely be like that, although, I may release all chapters during a new week, since I'm lazy.
6. Social:
If you want to contact me, you can talk to me on Twitter, or just DM me. I am online from time to time on Twitter, albeit on a private account. But I will notice if somebody follows me on it, xD.
As for Discord, though, I'm not sure. I kinda feel like people most likely wouldn’t join it. You can join ChangingEx's DC; I'm lurking there. (The hidden heroine’s author).
But I will open my own in the future when my reader base is properly established (and learn how to open it myself)!
