The world of Alagore is at war. For generations, the people of this moon lived comfortably within their own empires, blessed with their Goddess Mother, Tekali, who their world orbits. That was until twenty years ago, when a religious zealot Empire from the far continent of Cordinlane started the Day of the Domain. These Crusaders have many names, but most simply refer to them as the Unity.

  The Five Nations of the far continent united under their new religion and formed the Unity. They marched their armies across every continent, spreading their “Enlightenment” across the moon. It is a belief that the people of Cordinlane developed a new way of thinking, ending poverty, disease, inequality, war, and all of society's ills, bringing only great progression to daily life. As a duty, they believe that it is their sacred duty to spread their fortunes to all, and those who oppose must be swept aside to bring a better world. This has been referred: “The Domain is forever Expanding”

  A war to remove the Goddess and install a new theocratic order: The Katra.

  When this aggression began, the great powers of the Aldrida continent, Hispana, Thali'ean, Pamlinitie, Aristocracy, and dozens more formed a Coalition. They waged a nonstop war against this new aggression, sparking the global war. Traditional rivals are now united against a common enemy.

  Land and sea. Faraway lands. Colonies and strange lands all became a battlefield against these Crusaders, and for a time, it seemed the warriors of Teklai could beat this new threat. That was until defeat after defeat. Their new enemies were not just zealous, but powerful, with a far superior understanding of Magitech, the fusion of traditional technology with magic.

  Over time, all the continents of Alagore fell to Cordinlane reach, leaving only the Coalition on Aldrida. The once aggressive allied force, with the desire to stop these Crusaders in distant lands, was now on the defensive, defending their countries from an unstoppable force. The Unity continued to March, whipping out much of the Coalition leadership before the invasion, now landing unopposed.

  Once great powers with linages going back centuries to millennia fell under this new order. Seeing that the war was lost, many started defecting to spare their people from an unstoppable genocide, such as the Aristocracy and Pamlinitie – leaving only the Hispana Republic and Thali'ean Fiefdom. Divided, surrounded, without allies, and with no hope of victory, they hold out until the inevitable end.

  But then, in the darkness, in a forgotten, abandoned land, an echo of defiance spread across Aldrida with a dragon's roar. The warriors of the Aristocracy and Crusader Unity were defeated at a small City-State called Salva. What was once believed to be a small rebellion against the Verliance Vampire annexation of the Nevali Region turned into a great battle.

  The Vampire Lord, Kallem Verliance, quickly discovered that he was not fighting an insurgency, but another Great Power, one from not these lands. During the darkest hour of Hispana, their Legate leader sent Palatini of Orias, along with the Holiadon family – Raegel and Fraeya - on a secret quest to turn the tide of the war and head to the Temple of Indolass. Once here, they would find and activate the legendary ancient device known as the Bridge – and activate to the world called Altaerrie.

  The operation cost the lives of everyone in the Palatini, the capture of Raegel, but their mission was accomplished. The Bridge activated, and from there, Fraeya forged an alliance with one of the world's Astralis Superpowers, the United States of America.

  From there, the Altaerrie liberated Salva and defended it against the unstoppable Crusaders. The American Minutemen, Rangers, 4th Multi-Domain Task Force, and 4th Infantry Division bravely defend the City-State alongside Salva Militia and Vagahm Engineers, and did the impossible. Win.

  With the President of the United States declaring his nation's support for Princess Assiaya and her family's House leadership of the Nevali Region, this new power on Alagore had shown they would not go quietly. It proved that they could defy the Ever-Growing Domain.

  It has been nearly a month since the victory at Salva, with the Americans deploying more troops. The Battle Fourth and Minutemen now fight alongside the 101st Airborne and 5th Infantry Division, defending the Bridge and their new native allies. They were once on the defensive, but now the Altaerrie humans went on the offensive to ride the region of the Katra and restore order under the House of Ryder.

  With a new power on Alagore, a new sense of Hope has spread across the moon – showing that maybe their Goddess hasn’t abandoned them. However, the Unity has taken notice. To win this war and rebuild the Coalition, Hispana wishes to make contact with these new humans, and for the Americans, they want to legitimize Assiaya and their own claims, being recognized as a friendly ally and not a stranger from a far-away world.

  This is the Nevali Region (to see close up details, go to AA Factbook), where the story mainly taking place right now. I added border one and close up so you can see the details better.

  History: Because of the hilly terrain and three mountain ranges colliding against each other, this region has been hard to develop, but also an important crossroads to control. It was once the host of an Elvish-Vampire kingdom that collapsed thousands of years ago, and since then, the region has never been unified. Just like ancient Greece, City-States rose to power and fought to expand their influence.

  For centuries, the Aristocracy under multiple Houses fought wars to annex the region, wishing to gain the mineral wealth and crossroads to Hispana and Thali'ean, but struggled to maintain that control. Then they were finally driven out a hundred and fifty years ago, the Hispana Republic installed a puppet regime, House of Balan into the region to check the Vampires and maintain control over the region, even though the House control was limited.

  During the war with the Unity, Hispana was forced to pull resources from the region, weaking Balans House. When the Verliance Aristocracy surrendered to the Crusaders six years ago, they took advantage of their once Lat allies' weakness and annexed this region without a fight - securing a security alliance with the J'avais City-State Toriffa.

  While the rest of Alagore burned with the war against the Unity, Nevali remained quiet and stable under Kallem's rule. That was until the Bridge opened and a new power arrived, the United States. Now the region is once again a battleground between Great Powers.
