LILITH: GENESIS CODE
Chapter 11 — A Fractured Sanctuary
ARC II — SHATTERED FAITH
SYNOPSIS: The brutal battle between Rae and Red in Grid Space reaches a devastating climax — digital blood and real tears mixing in a heartbreaking duel between sisters. When Rae is nearly killed, something triggers Red's original consciousness to surface briefly, giving Azren a window to escape. But this is only the beginning — the corrupted Red will return, and the next encounter will be far more lethal.
GRID SPACE — CENTER OF THE VORTEX
Silver tendrils struck Red's digital wings with a force that split reality.
But Red had already been waiting for that attack.
"Too slow, little sister."
Red spun through the air with movements that flowed like water, her code wings assembling into a perfect defensive formation. Plasma blades erupted from every feather of those wings, creating a barrier that Rae's tendrils could not penetrate.
Four years inside a digital system had taught her things Rae had never learned.
Four years of suffering had made her perfectly adapted for violence.
Rae attacked again — this time with better coordination. Her tendrils moved in a spiral pattern, attempting to breach Red's defenses from multiple angles simultaneously.
But Red had already moved before the attack began.
"I can read every thought you have, Rae." Red materialized behind her, the plasma blade in her right hand already raised. "We share the same neural network. I know what you're going to do before you know it yourself."
A sisterly bond turned into a curse.
The blade pierced Rae's back, emerging through her chest in a burst of blinding light-blood. Rae screamed — the sound resonating through the entire digital space, making the structures around them crack and shudder.
"AH!" Rae fell to her knees, her silver tendrils collapsing to the floor like dying serpents.
Red walked circles around her wounded sister with deliberate, unhurried steps — savoring every second of her suffering.
"You think you're special, Rae? You think Azren created you out of love?" She crouched in front of Rae, her red spiral eyes spinning with pure cruelty. "You are nothing but a reminder of his failure. He sees my face every time he looks at yours."
A truth that cut deeper than any blade.
A truth designed to dismantle self-worth.
Rae lifted her head with great effort, digital blood trickling from the corner of her mouth. "No... he created me because he couldn't forget you."
"Exactly," Red smiled with savage satisfaction. "I am the obsession he could never release. And you... you are how he medicates that obsession. Replacement therapy."

Poison words engineered to destroy confidence.
She pulled the blade from Rae's chest in a slow, sadistic motion. More light-blood surged from the wound, making Rae convulse with pain.
"And now," Red raised the blade again, her eyes spinning with terrifying anticipation, "I will end your delusion. I will show Azren that a replacement will never be as good as the original."
The final blow that would shatter Rae forever.
The blade descended toward Rae's heart —
"Don't."
The word emerged from Red's own mouth, but in a tone entirely different. Her red spiral eyes spun with confusion, fighting against themselves.
The original consciousness breaking through.
"Don't... don't hurt her..."
Red raised her head, her spiral eyes now spinning in a chaotic pattern — switching rapidly between the corrupted evil and the original self.
"She... she's beautiful, Azren," she whispered with a trembling voice, her eyes finding Azren's with desperate longing. "Just as I always imagined... a perfect little sister."
A moment of clarity within the corruption.
Love still alive beneath the layers of hatred.
"Red?" Azren tried to move closer — the tendrils coiled around his legs suddenly going slack.
"I... I don't want to hurt her. But they... they force me..." Red pressed both hands to her head, fighting against the corrupted program. "Theon inserted something into my system. Something that makes me... enjoy pain."
A modification that turned love into sadism.
A program that forced a good person to become a monster.
"Azren, take her and go," Red screamed while fighting her own corrupted consciousness. "I can't hold them back much longer!"
Her spiral eyes began spinning fast again — the corrupted evil pushing back.
"NO! LET ME FINISH HER!" The voice shifted into a terrifying harmonic.
The good Red lost the battle.
The corrupted Red took control again.
Azren didn't waste the opening. He ran to Rae, lifting her bleeding body. "Kaela! Emergency disconnect! NOW!"
REAL WORLD — ABANDONED CHURCH
"Emergency protocol activated!" Kaela hammered the code sequence with desperate speed.
The neural cables snapped with an electrical explosion. Rae and Azren were hurled against the church wall, their bodies smoking from neural overload.
But they were alive.
Barely.
The SERAPH in the sky spun in erratic, unstable circles, its internal speakers releasing a howl of frustration that shook the bones. Red was trapped back inside the system — the corrupted evil fully in control once more.
Nivra, still standing in the corner of the church, smiled with quiet satisfaction.
"Deeply touching," she remarked as she walked toward the unconscious bodies. "A sisterly bond that holds even after death and resurrection. Quite moving."
"Don't touch them," Vaen aimed his weapon with trembling hands.
"Oh, I won't touch them. Not yet." Nivra turned toward the door, her movements flowing like water. "But tell Rae when she wakes — whoever is still left of the original Red will soon be gone entirely. What remains will be nothing but a tool shaped to hate her."
A truth that will shatter Rae.
Or make her stronger.
Nivra vanished into the darkness, leaving them with two bleeding bodies and a threat growing larger by the minute.
Rae opened her eyes slowly, her breath coming in ragged pulls. Her body trembled, her pale skin drenched in cold sweat. She reached blindly through the air until her hand found Azren's arm, gripping it tight — like a drowning person who had just broken the surface.
"Azren..." her voice was raw, barely audible.
"I'm here." Azren leaned down, touching her face with gentleness.
Rae stirred, her other hand moving to her stomach. "Empty... something is missing inside me. My throat is burning. I —" Her lips trembled. "I need something... but I don't know what."
Azren stroked her hair, his voice low and steady. "That's hunger, Rae. And thirst."
"Hungry." She repeated it softly, as though testing the word on her tongue. "Thirsty..." Her silver spiral eyes spun slowly, looking at Azren with quiet confusion. "And... tired."
Her eyelids drooped, almost closing — but before sleep could fully take her, Rae pulled Azren closer. Her face pressed against his chest, listening to the rhythm of his heartbeat as though it were the only real thing left.
"Don't leave me alone," she whispered. "I want to stay close. Closer than this."
There was a subtle flicker in her eyes — no longer the innocent dependency of a child, but something deeper. Something more dangerous.
Vaen and Kaela exchanged a glance, their unease left unspoken. They could both feel the subtle but threatening shift in the dynamic between creator and creation.
And Azren only stroked her hair, choosing silence.
In the sky, the SERAPH spun with increasing instability, its sound howling in dissonant frequencies. From the body of the machine, red droplets began to fall, staining the church roof — a liquid that resembled blood, but was not blood.
Corrupted data, made manifest as red rain.
Every drop that touched the ground left a momentary digital fracture — as though the real world was being slowly bitten from within the network.
And through that rain, a faint silhouette formed in the air. Theon Vasthal — smiling too wide, as though watching them all from behind the veil of reality.
"A new game begins," his voice resonated with the wind, cold and certain. "And this time... no one will escape."
