Humans Can Also Faint From Damage

Creig can hear the fight still going, but his vision is slow to return. Then he feels Tabby, and it has to be Tabby yank his leg, repositioning the bones. He knew his arm was next as he felt his leg be splinted. Perhaps the pain was helping clear his vision, because he saw the pink of Tabbys' hair move from his left to his right just before his right arm was yanked, twice, once for his forearm and once for his upper arm. His vision was recovering faster with the help of pain, he could now vaguely see Tabby and Maggie as silhouettes. After they splinted his arm they were moving it for some reason, the hand on his clavicle and he realized why, before they popped his shoulder he hadn't known was dislocated back into position. It was a bit too much and he fainted for a few minutes.

Maggie was surprised for but a moment when Creig passed out, and really it was more from the fact that he only grunted and growled while they field fixed him. He was also the only one who could have identified the pokemon who was saving them at the moment, who she should support if she could. She had petilil and porygon left, and they weren't fighters, in fact porygon was useless here having only normal moves leaving petilil. Petilils' stun spore was no good because the combatants were in continual melee, and absorb was too weak for this fight, leaving petilil with helping hand, if it could give the energy to the right one in the confusing melee. Maggie was frustrated, most hostile pokemon were just being territorial and running was enough, but this, was it a trap left by the traitors?, was it born from the traitors?, did this thing incite them?, why did it leave the manor alone for so long?

Maggie jumped when Creig woke up from his faint, which made her feel dizzy, but free. Creig had his vision back allowing him to identify the helpful pokemon, it was a zeraora, he also now had a moment to look around. It seemed that other than Acerola and the director, everyone else had evacuated, Creig hoped that should marshadow breakthrough it couldn't follow them. Acerola stuck around because the ghosts were banding together to use Arts to weaken marshadow, Acerola was an enhancer, being unaffected by the sun, allowing their efforts to have an effect, even if minor. Maggie could tell she and Creig felt similar in this moment, he tried to stand up to put himself between everyone else and the fight, Tabby didn't let him of course, sitting on him to stop him, she had also grabbed a night-night stick, but Maggie stopped that and told Tabby "Sitting on him is sufficient".

A second cat like pokemon entered the scene and hit marshadow with a Night Slash, Creig was annoyed by the anime logic that blurred the persian till an annoyed voice spoke up. "What trouble did I haul myself all the way here for?" came from the reluctant Kahuna, Nanu "And what pokemon are those?".

"They're both minor legendaries!" Creig conveyed the most important point first

"Say WHAT!"-"What!?" some minor synchronicity at the revelation from everyone not Creig or concentrating on an exorcism.

"The ghost is Marshadow, ghost-fighting type"

"Crap" Nanu had counted on having an advantage of type, learning marshadow had both a tier advantage and type advantage was unwelcome news "The helpful? electric cat?"

"Zeraora, pure electric, intent unknown, wasn't known for being hostile to people."

"Focus the ghost persian, switch to Play Rough, coordinate on temp-ally status"

While they started to push back, it seemed more of a tactical decision by marshadow, to increase its own chances to attack. Creig was also worried that it might use the door jam tactically, but he figured that Nanu would be thinking the same, being both a former officer and specialized in dark type. Nanu didn't send either a pokemon he hadn't used, or persian to cut marshadow off as it gradually got closer. Then again, one of his dark types stuck in the door would open it to being hit by a fighting type move. Creig looked to see if he could make out what Nanu was thinking, he was definitely frustrated, but if he was thinking about the door wasn't discernable.

"It's trying to use the door to draw you in for an unavoidable counter attack, whether you take the door or it does" Nanu temporarily stopped his orders

"Crap, Mandibuzz go, control its pathing, don't let it go unless its actually retreating" marshadow showed its annoyance at having its plan ruined.

Marshadow started fighting harder, it also tried to phase in and out of the ground, but persian stopped it with its dark aura. marshadow eventually landed a solid hit upon persian, faking a phasing and was about to use the opening to start winning. As it phased partway into the ground, Tapu Bulu finally showed up slamming the ground infusing it with fairy and life(derivative grass) energy, and taking full command of the fight. Zeraora was still willing to fight, but it was clear that it was also getting what rest it could trusting in the strength of the Tapu and the exhaustion marshadow must be feeling. Acerola was far enough away that the seismic slam did not disrupt what she was doing, the orphanage director fell over. Maggie rolled and got back up on her feet, Creig and Tabby were thrown up, the back down caused Creig to feint again and Tabby to double check his broken bones to see if they were misaligned again.

Tapu Bulu wasn't going all out, but it apprehended marshadow quickly, before healing everyone but Creig, he wasn't being mean, he recognized that if Creigs bones healed wrong that they would have to be rebroken. In fact he did grow a stretcher he lashed Creig to, which Nanu and the director picked up to carry. The Tapu then flew off with marshadow, ending the most stressful part of the day, though there were still a few things left to take care of, like Creigs backpack full of mimikyu without costumes. Maggie, Tabby, and Acerola decided that this was where they could help at the moment, looking after them, getting them what they needed.

If Creig hadn't been injured and most of the pokemon fainted, getting to the city would have been fifteen minutes, it took a whole hour to get Creig to the hospital. Nanu let out Will and Wisp to watch over Creig and took his fainted pokemon to take to the pokecenter. Tabbys' mom was on duty and nearly panicked seeing the state Maggie was in, followed by Nanu and a large amount of pokemon to heal. After a slight detour to explain the mimikyu, which the on staff Joys' decided that Tabbys' mom could help with, as she was too invested/emotional to do anything else related to the events, Maggie and Tabby explained what happened with Nanu taking a professional statement (which he handed over to an Officer Jenny who arrived part way through).

Nanu and Officer Jenny went with the orphanage director to find his employees and charges, to get their corroborative statements while the four girls went to take the mimikyu to either an arts and crafts store, or a plushy store. They managed to find a place that had a bit of both, letting the mimikyu get plushes that house them while they worked on making proper costumes. The girls didn't know, but usually mimikyu would be obsessed with pikachu, but perhaps because this was before then they chose all sorts of different things. Once they had their temporary coverings they showed how friendly they were giving hugs and celebrating.

They returned to the pokecenter to collect everyones' pokemon, being trained to attenuate their reaction to ghost type the Nurse Joys' found the mimikyu cute. Nanu also showed back up, since technically he was the only one authorized to collect Creigs pokemon and someone needed to take Acerola to where the orphanage people were sheltering in this emergency. He also needed to get Creigs statement on what happened seeing as he was first contact, and the one to choose running from marshadow. They had to wait as after an analysis Creig needed minor surgery to make sure his bones were in proper place, and he was still out.

For the couple of hours that all would take, Nanu returned Acerola to the orphanage group with most of the mimikyu, the leader choosing Acerola in particular. Two of the mimikyu stayed with the ladies, one in particular was bonding with Tabby. Most of the costume supplies were taken with the group, but enough were left behind so the two remaining could make their costumes. Creig was given a room part way through and everyone moved in there when it was set up. Nanu came back before Creig woke up and watched the mimikyu work with some interest.

Creig startled awake, still mostly ready to fight though the fact that it was dark out and he was in artificial light told him everything was fine, he took a couple minutes to calm down. He had seen everyone who was in the room he just needed a moment. Giving his statement to Nanu was simple enough, he had been seen, he felt hostility, he ran on a combination of vague knowledge and gut feeling, tried to create barrier, failed, fought. With his statement taken everyone except Maggie and a mimikyu went home, Maggie was technically acting as his Aether escort-protection duty.

Creig wanted to have a proper sleep, but needed to have one last talk for the day. "Hey, mimikyu, what you thinkin'". With Sleighs' help mimikyu was able to get across that it wanted to be one of Creigs' pokemon. "So... it may be obvious, but I'm meant to specialize in Ice types, you would be more pet than battler". This Mimikyu showed it, mostly, had no problem with that, it just wanted friendship. "Well, I was planning to get a frosmoth later, those bug types all produce silk, though it would also be a battler, but a crafts sub-team is an idea. Sleigh, you could help with cutting". Mimikyu was really happy at the suggestion while Sleigh was surprised, Sleigh hadn't considered having a secondary occupation and started revealing and retracting her claws while thinking. "I'll come up with a nickname for you later, for now I'm gonna get some real sleep". Everyone nodded in acknowledgement but Creig was already asleep.

This wasn't the first time the Tapu had dealt with a marshadow, usually they took quite a lot of time to appear being an embodiment of resentment. This one focused around the former Kahunas' spirit, in the past they were embodiments of raiders who came to pillage the islands, mostly. It was rare that resentment came from good people, but it did happen occasionally, the guards in this passage were some of the few marshadow born thus. The Tapu threw this marshadow through a gate leading to giratinas' realm, the gate was looking smaller than last they saw. A bit broke off and became a squirmy little thing, bulu remarked on how it looked like those things that had climbed in Creigs bag on his get away, they all shrugged, it didn't seem to harm anything so there shouldn't be any need to do anything about it. Though it did make them wonder if the same could happen with the ultra wormholes, which also reminded them that there were still a few interlopers from beyond from the incident caused by that traitor. It was still amazing to think ball tech had the potential to catch them, and the remaining ones weren't particularly vicious, harmony had been found with those from outside the islands, so harmony might be found with the interlopes as well, especially if they were just lost.
