Chapter 1 – Let’s Begin Our Journey

  (~arm clock sound)

(Huh? So soon? I want to sleep a little longer...)

In a small student dorm room, two young men who called each other brothers y in their own beds.

The first was called Hiro, and the other was called Lucky.

They were not biological brothers, but rather fate had made them so.

They are both twenty years old now and are both students at *Haidai National Engineering University in the city of Haidai, located about 150 kilometers from the capital.

*Haidai is a fictional city name.

Hiro and Lucky are both second-year students in the IT Engineering Department, and today was the start of the new academic year.

  - (Hiro). "Are you awake yet, Lucky? It's time to get up. I'll slowly get ready and make breakfast, so please be ready by the time the food is on the table."

  - (Lucky). "..."

Hiro zily got out of bed and looked around the room.

(I need to clean up... Why is it getting so dusty in the room so quickly?)

Their room was small, like the other students', but it was enough for them to be comfortable.

Each had their own bed, table, and chair, and the room also had a refrigerator, a TV that didn't work, a wardrobe, and some shared household items.

Hiro put on his slippers and left the room.

They were on the seventh floor, and there were ten other rooms simir to theirs nearby.

Of all the rooms, there were only two that no one lived in, namely the student kitchen, where you could cook your own food, and the bathroom, which was next door.

When Hiro entered the kitchen, it was empty.

(Today I woke up first again... Great! The gas stove is all mine.)

The kitchen had a fairly old gas stove, a table for cooking, two sinks close to each other, and a rge mirror above them.

Hiro approached them and began to wash his face, then looked into the mirror.

(A beautiful face and body... I'm still in good shape.)

Hiro was an athletic guy, 6.1 feet tall, with white hair like the young Satoru Gojo from the anime "Jujutsu Kaisen," but with a little more hair, brown eyes, and quite attractive features.

He quickly wiped his face with a towel and began to cook.

(I hope Hiro likes Korean-style rice with meat and vegetables...)

Although most of the other students were zy and often skipped breakfast, it was always better to come early and py it safe so that you could eat leisurely and start the day off right.

Forty minutes ter, everything was ready, and Hiro, satisfied with the upcoming meal, returned to the room with his dish.

When he entered, his brother Lucky was still resting on the bed, looking sleepy, but already in a sitting position.

  - (Hiro). "Today I made Korean-style rice with meat and vegetables. You'll definitely like it. I put my whole heart into making it, haha. I'll get everything ready for us to eat. By the way, would you like juice or coffee?"

  - (Lucky). "..."

(If you're wondering about Lucky and why I treat him like his mother, I'll expin...)

  - (Lucky). "Ju-ice... p-l-e-a-s-e..."

The thing is, Lucky is... disabled.

He has autism, speech problems, and periodic disorientation.

Lucky has serious health problems and a somewhat terrible appearance.

He has long, straight brown hair, a face with impaired facial expressions, and a long beard that he hasn't shaved in about four years.

It is extremely difficult to determine his height, as he has scoliosis, and his body is severely bent forward and has what appears to be kyphosis.

He is very thin, probably weighing no more than forty kilograms, and has very thin limbs, which make it difficult for him to move.

He has been living with all these problems for a long time, but even with such disabilities, he continues to live, although it is very, very difficult for him.

He can move independently and even do most basic things, but as a true brother, I take on all the problems and try to make his life easier so that he can at least partially experience the positive moments of his existence.

I always felt sorry for him and dreamed that he would live a full life, but unfortunately, fate was unfair to him, and he has to go through all these trials every time.

We both have the same st name, we are best friends, and I will never leave him in trouble.

(I have not forgotten my promise, brother, and I will keep these words until the end of my life...)

The dish turned out to be perfect, and after enjoying it, we looked at each other, took the necessary things, and left the room to start a new academic year at the university.

We walked down at our own pace, left the dormitory, and headed for the university, which was about two kilometers from where we lived.

On the way, we met two girls we knew and continued walking with them.

Their names were Margo and Eliza.

Margo was Japanese with German roots and always looked very bright.

She is a blonde with long straight hair tied in a tight ponytail, beautiful appearance, and a sweet personality.

She is about twenty centimeters shorter than me, quite athletic and friendly.

Eliza is also a beautiful girl, but with a more shy personality.

She is Korean and has lived most of her life in Japan with her family.

She has long straight red hair, red eyes, and is about the same height as her friend.

She is a rather reserved person and almost never shows her emotions.

I know almost nothing about her, but I noticed that she often looks at Lucky, but never interacts with him.

I don't know if this is good or bad, since Lucky has certain social problems and is also a rather closed person, but it would be very good if they became friends.

We all study at the same university, but in different departments, and we often go together in the morning.

They also live in a dormitory, but in a different one, which is exclusively for girls.

  - (Margo). "Good morning, Hiro and Lucky! How are you? Are you ready for the new school year?"

  - (Hiro). "Good morning, Margo and Eliza. We're fine, and as for the new school year... I hope it will be interesting."

  - (Margo). "Yes, I'm also looking forward to something new. The first year was pretty good, but I want something different, something more dynamic and definitely more fun, haha."

  - (Hiro). "Well, only you and I can say that, the others have a different idea about the next school year."

  - (Margo). "It's their fault that they don't like to study. With that attitude, why did they even go to university?"

  - (Hiro). "You know there are many answers, and you still ask?"

  - (Margo). "Yes, but... I wanted others to think not about parties and their own entertainment, but about something more important."

  - (Hiro). "Not everyone is like that, and everyone has their own personal life."

  - (Margo). "You're right, but... Ugh. Never mind."

We continued walking and talking until we reached the main gate of the university.

After a quick goodbye, our group went their separate ways to attend to their personal affairs.

  - (Hiro). "Well? Shall we go?"

  - (Lucky). "Y-e-s..."

Together with my brother, we headed to the pce where we had our first css of the day.
