Gunslinger System III

  (Samuel's POV)

Obviously, I am choosing the bullets.

I have a weapon already, and it needs some ammunition. And considering that I was able to obtain a gun belt, this makes this Skill very useful.

I clicked on the skill, "This one." I said, "This one is needed."

I noticed Scarlet and Rok'gul's stares, as if they were a bit confused at what was going on.

  The System's page changed:

  [Conjure Bullets]

  - Summons Six Heavy Caliber Runepowder Bullets That Fit A Compatible Six-Shooter Cannon.

  - Using a Mental Command Will Activate This Skill

  - Upon Activation, The Skill Enters a 10-Second Cooldown. Only After The Cooldown May This Skill Be Activated Again.

I was holding my gun in my hand, "Hm...." I said, "A mental command, huh?"

I simply thought of the name of the skill:

  "Conjure Bullet"

I then felt some vibration within the revolver, the chamber emitting a faint glowing light that sted a couple of seconds.

Scarlet narrowed her eyes, "Magic..." She said, "You used it on your weapon."

"Did I?" I asked as I opened the chamber

I saw that the bullets were chambered, faint runes on them. I could feel a strange feeling coming from them, along with some weight added to the gun.

"Interesting." Rok'gul said, "So this is what a Gunslinger is capable of? To summon the elusive runepowder."

  Runepowder huh?

If I am correct, that would be the combination of gunpowder and the arcane, right? I used to have a friend who was crazy about that fantasy rpg genre, so he would go on tangents. I do remember him tossing around the word Runepowder a lot due to my affiliation with Gunslingers and Cowboys.

"Runepowder is stronger than regur gunpowder?" I asked, having noticed that the cooldown had ended

"Runepowder is a powerful and votile substance." Scarlet said, "It is mostly harnessed into firearm weapons that are rare in this area. Our subjects are fortunate that is the case, considering that they would fall prey to their terrors with ease."

  "Oh?" I said, "I see."

  "Conjure Bullets"

I flicked the left side of my coat to the side, showing that six bullets appeared on the holders on the belt. They had glowed for a couple of seconds before turning normal, albeit still showing faint runes.

"So you can do that multiple times, hm?" Rok'gul said

"Something like that." I said as I spun the gun on my finger, getting adjusted to the sudden weight, "This is the first task that is completed. I still have to complete the other one."

"To have sex with other Demonic Maids." The Orc nodded, "That won't be a problem. We'll arrange that after your meeting with Her Majesty."

I immediately holstered the gun to my side, feeling how smoothly it went. I then turned to the side and drew it quickly, spinning it in my fingers and waving the hand around, only to quickly holster it right back with ease.

"That is quite nice." I said, "Now I feel like an actual warrior."

"Good for you." Rok'gul said, "Now come."

"You need to see the Queen."

  ***************

I stood before the Throne, back at the main room again. I saw that the Queen herself was sitting down, looking down at me.

"New look?" She asked, leaning to the side, "It suits you."

"I appreciate the compliment." I said, "But you best make this quick, Queen. I have Tasks to complete."

"Mind your tongue, human." Rok'gul said, having been standing next to the Throne, "You are still in the care of Her Majesty, do not dare to insult her!"

"Someone's impatient, huh?" The Queen said with a smirk, "How cute. You have awakened your System not too long ago, and you're in a rush, don't be an idiot."

"You're the one who wants me to be the Promised Warrior." I told her, "So why keep me from performing my duty?"

"You're awfully eager now." She said, "Are you plotting something?"

"Of course I'm not." I said, "But I simply cannot stand around for no reason."

"Maybe you just want to have sex." She chuckled, "What a vulgar boy, this one is."

"Allow me to straighten him out, Your Majesty." Rok'gul said, "He is rather rude, this human."

"It is fine." The Queen waved him off, "Samuel Grey, you are indeed my Promised Warrior, make no mistake. But you're too green, boy. If I sent you out there in your current state, you will simply die. And that is not good, is it?"

  "Hm..." I said, "That's a good point."

"Allow me to expin everything to you, Samuel Grey." She said, "Many years ago, the neighboring Kingdom decided to y an assault on my borders, ravaging my nds and murdering my people."

  "Demons?" I asked

"Some of them, yes." She said, "But the Kingdom of Abaddon is a safehaven for many races of the Blood Star Realm. Humans, Orcs, Elves, Dwarves, Fairies, and even Dragonkin. They are my precious subjects. Subjects that were suddenly attacked by the Duskrend Kingdom. A filthy dynasty of Dusk Elves who think they can challenge me..."

"Elves can challenge Demons, huh?" I asked, "That's surprising."

"The Blood Star Realm houses only the strongest, after all." She said seriously, "The Race of Blood Star Demons are just a strain of Demonkind. But these Elves are no ordinary foes; their entire race has been corrupted by the Distortion, by the one known as Kadrianne. The Distorted Entity of Chaotic Magic, that is what we have been dealing with."

"I'm very confused, but continue." I said, "This Kingdom that is very powerful waged war on you, I take it? And then, you received a prophecy?"

"It is all too complicated to expin in such a short amount of time, but yes." She said, "We have been at War with the Duskrend Kingdom for many years, having lost thousands upon thousands of forces. But it is not like they are unscathed. This war only results in bloodshed for both sides. So, the Distortion blessed both sides with a prophecy."

"Hm....." I said, "I don't like the sound of this."

"The Promised Warrior will be pulled through the Distortion, brought forth to the Bleeding Star." She stood up, "And they will be a bde that cleaves through the enemies of the Supreme Monarch."

"Both Kingdoms got the same prophecy, prompting them to perform that ritual...." I said with a frown, "Bringing two individuals forth and making them The Promised Warrior....."

"You do pay attention boy." She said with a smile

"Well, I'm sorry to break it to you, dy." I said, drawing my gun and spinning it in my hand, "I'm no bde that cleaves through enemies."

"I'm the Gun that will y ruin to them."
