Chapter 1 : The Throne

  Prakashvati…

A small city resting in the lap of mountains mountains bordered by a vast forest on one side and a quiet civilization on the other.

A land filled with animals, parks blooming with flowers, and a river flowing gently, as if breathing life into everything it touched.

This place felt like a fragment of heaven on earth.

Its flora and fauna thrived, and its people lived like one family bound by joy, warmth, and peace.

A boy wandered through the city, absorbing its vibe gazing at the mountains, inhaling the air, feeling alive.

He reached the heart of Prakashvati, where the city truly felt awake.

He wondered how a place on earth could be so beautiful.

  He breathed in deeply.

  The air was fresh… pure.

  But then something felt wrong.

The air no longer felt the same.

  Something had changed.

Suddenly, the rays of sunlight vanished.

Black clouds began to gather overhead.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

The smell in the air grew stranger… heavier… unsettling.

Those black clouds were not clouds at all.

They were an army of demon bats.

The demon bats descended upon the city, slaughtering everything in sight.

  Some tore out eyes.

  Some ripped apart limbs.

They devoured humans as if they had been starving for ages.

Human organs lay scattered across the streets.

  Blood filled the air.

Within moments, the city of joy turned into a city of the dead.

  Then… the bats stopped.

A dark, blinding light descended from the sky.

It was their king the Demon King who had been buried as stone for millions of years.

Now, he had returned to life.

The bat army parted, creating a path for him.

He gathered the organs scattered across Prakashvati and built a throne — a throne of human limbs, muscles, intestines, kidneys, eyes… everything he could find.

  A bloody throne.

With every step forward, he crushed flesh beneath his feet.

Blood spilled onto the ground, which the bats eagerly drank.

He reached the throne and sat.

As he did, violent, bloody winds began to blow.

Dead bodies were lifted into the air.

The bats feasted upon them as one voice echoed across the ruins:

  “KAALVREN ERA BEGINS NOW.”

  The Demon King…

  The mighty Asura…

  Kaalvren.

Seated on his throne, Kaalvren noticed a child standing before him witnessing the chaos, terrified, shattered.

  The child tried to hide.

  But Kaalvren found him.

In a blink, he appeared before the boy and grabbed his throat, lifting him into the air.

The child struggled, choking, gasping slowly losing his breath… his life.

  Suddenly, his eyes opened.

  He was gasping for air.

  His chest burned.

  He couldn’t breathe.

  “It… it was a dream…”

Trying to calm himself, he whispered shakily:

  “F... fi....fiive things… I.... can see…

  Fo.... f.. four things… I can touch…

  Th.... three things…”

  His breathing slowly steadied.

  “Uff… that bloody dream again…

  I don’t know what’s wrong with my dreams…”

  From outside, his mother shouted,

“Hurry up, Aarivansh! You’re late for college!”

  He looked at the clock.

  “Oh no… fuck… I’ve gotta go.”

Hello everyone, thank you so much for giving Abhishapt a chance!

This is my very first story, and I am still learning and improving with every chapter. Your patience and feedback will truly help me grow as a writer.

I am currently a student with a heavy exam schedule, so I will be updating about once every two weeks. Some chapters may also be shorter for now because of these time constraints.

I’m writing this story because I genuinely love this dark world and want to share it with you, even if the progress is a little slow.

Thank you for reading and supporting me on this journey it means a lot to me.
