Short Story 4 – Along the Möbius Breeze

  Free like a breeze of wind

  gentle evening breezes stir the pine waves,

  setting the wind chimes to sing a soft melody.

  In this quiet corner of the sprawling city,

  all the clamor fades gently into the distance,

  a fragile peace I seek, though hidden from view.

  Butterflies flutter freely along the clear stream, careless of paths, untouched by cages I feel around me while beyond the horizon, the sunset blooms in fleeting splendor.

  My path twists strangely like a M?bius strip; one continuous surface with a hidden turn.

  Where inside and outside merge, and what seems a boundary is merely illusion. I walk this narrow strip, caught between freedom and control, inside and outside the cage.

  Behind this calm surface, a restless current flows an unseen breeze that longs to break free;

  to reach across the glass walls of silence and control,

  and in that quiet surrender,

  perhaps find the grace to let life unfold in its own unhurried way.
