-Chapter Three-

Ivan got out of the car and walked into the bank entrances. It was a nice looking bank, it had the sleek modern design that every building has now. Surprisingly, Ivan could feel his muscles relaxed as the cold air hit his skin. The tension would only come back as soon as he remembered why he's here. The bank robber.

There wasn't anyone in the lobby or behind the counter. It was like Ivan broke in here when the bank was closed, but he knew it wasn't. He jumped behind the counter as his bone claws emerged from his knuckles. He slowly made his way through the back part of the bank. It was a unfamiliar place to him, which made him feel on edge.

Ivan was exploring for a while, checking behind doors to see where all the hostages were. door after door was nothing. Ivan frantically increased his pace hoping to find the hostages. Was he too late? Was he set up by Zachary? The thoughts took over Ivan's head. He shook the thoughts out of his head as he opened one of the last doors, a metal door.

He grabbed the cold handle and pulled it open. To his surprise, there was a group of people on their knees with tape over their mouths. They were here, here to be saved by Ivan. Before Ivan could take a step into the room. Someone grabs Ivan's shoulder and pulled him back. Ivan got a quick glance at who did it.

It was their groups nemesis, Static, he had the ability to attract and repulse things with static electricity. He was weak in the beginning of the rivalry but he recently started to improve on his power. He added tesla coils to his arms which makes his power more effective.

The force of the punch threw Ivan's sense of balance off and sent him stumbling to the ground. "Well. well, well. Ivan! Long time no see since you last put me in jail. You know, maybe I should return the favor." Static laughed as electricity started to burst around him, the air crackling as the electricity wrapped around Ivan's legs, the pure string of power burned into his skin as the string started to pull him towards a wall.

Ivan couldn't prepare himself for getting hit by a brick wall, the burning, hot string was driving Ivan mad. He keep biting down on his tongue in hopes he can endure the pain before he does anything drastic. The string kept swinging Ivan into the wall and into another wall all while Static stood there laughing. Ivan needed to fight back but he couldn't risk it. He can feel a ringing in his head and his eyes started to feel heavy. Ivan tried his best to keep his eyes open but his vision was all getting blurry.

Zachary was still sitting in the car while he was on hold. "Come on Locke. Pick up the phone. I'm on the clock here." He talked to himself while he waited and listened to the relaxing but terribly annoying elevator music. He sighed as he hanged up. He knew he needed to do this himself. Run from the cops if they showed up. Sounds easy.

Zachary slaps himself, he's getting off track. He needed to focus on stopping the bank robber. He looked up at the bank and he saw something flew past behind one of the open doors. Great, now he has to go in. Zachary hops out of the car and starts to walk into the bank. The cold air hit his skin like a truck. Bad things always happened in the cold. He peeked through the door he saw the thing, down the hall to his left, he saw Static throwing Ivan around with a string of electricity.

Zachary didn't pay much attention in his 8th grade science class but he thinks he knows how to stop Static. He started to make his way over to a water cooler. He knows that Static's power is based off of static electricity. He grabs a cup and fills it up with water, he takes a sip of the water. it was disgusting. Who on mothers earth would drink this?

Locke is definitely hearing about this atrocity later. But something was there in the back of his head. he had a theory and he needed to test it out. He started to walk to the place he saw Ivan and Static. He creeped over to them to make sure that Static didn't notice him.

Once he got close enough, he threw the water onto Static. He didn't get a chance to look at Zachary as the electricity. Static's body started to spaz out as smoke started to raise from his body. He body stiffen and his body fell backwards. Zachery went over to Ivan's body and checked his pulse. There was a faint beat, Ivan's will be fine. Zachary reached into his pocket for his phone then he realized that he left it in the car. He sighed as he started to walk out of the bank and back to his car.
