OW!... My head, what the hell was all that about? My life is bad enough already now, I have to suffer too, I get a splitting headache and bckout at that too. Seriously, what the hell? I hope that this is the end at least and I can leave my life of pain behind.
I mean, it is completely dark for me to see anything, so I got to be dead, right? Well, there wasn’t any pain when this all happened… then again. I can feel something hard on my back.
I mean it’s pitch’s bck, so I can’t see anything… I got to be dead right? I don’t really feel any pain other than this headache, though I do feel something hard against my back.
Could I still be alive? If that is true.
Yup it's something hard like rocks, or stone. I guess that is just the ground then. It’s too hard for sure though since I can’t see in this darkness.
Alright, guess I'm going blind here, let's see about getting a hold of something in here as I move around.
A few seconds of trying to touch something went by and I was starting to worry that there might not be anything at all, but finally one of my hands came into contact with something.
It felt like the ground, like stone or rock, that gave me a clue as to where I might be. My main guess is that I’m in a cave right about now.
That’s weird though. If that’s true, why am I here, and how could that have happened? These were questions that I had no way to answer right now though. I needed to find someone to figure this out.
It doesn’t matter at the moment though, I’m going to have to get out of here first, I just need to keep going until I find a source of light, it’s hard to move around in the darkness, luckily, I have a hand on what I’m pretty sure is a wall.
Do I go Right or the left though… let go with the left and see where it takes me. I start walking slowly and carefully, where it will lead, I have no idea, but hopefully not something dangerous or life threatening.
I wouldn’t recommend walking in darkness like this to anyone. It's not a good idea, and honestly it feels like it goes on forever moving like this. I’m actually starting to think, I might never find a light inside this maze-like cave.
Not long after that I was proven wrong by a hint of light, which can mean one thing: an exit.
LIGHT!... Sweet, whatever god, goddess, or eldritch horror out there that guided me here, Thank you. I hope there isn’t a price to be paid for this unless they're actually real, I have no deep belief, but it doesn't hurt to at least give prayer a try, right?
Walking towards the lights it begins to shine, growing bigger and brighter, so much so that it is blinding, but I must go towards it. Funny how I say that, but normally it’s the opposite, people always say “Don’t go towards the light”.
In this case, it seems like a fitting saying, but I am alive and need to go towards the light. Soon after dealing with the great intensity of bright light hurting my poor eyes, I came to see a beautiful blue sky.
Finally, something good to look at, and then below that is a giant forest going on for as far as my eyes can see. Not only that, but I looked behind myself to see that I had just come out of a cave inside a mountain.
“Weird, this is all just weird,” I say to myself.
Then another problem Comes, how do I get down to the ground? There is no way down that I can see other than to climb down from here or go back inside the cave and seek out another route, but what is the chance, I find a way through that darkness a second time?
Damn, there’s got to be a way, I’ll have to solve it alone, which doesn’t feel great at all to me, but I’ll have to in order to find out what is going on.
[ROAR!!]
Oh no, that is not the sound my ears should be hearing, and worse on the matter is, I have nowhere to run or hide given where I am, pretty much like a cliff to fall off if I were to have a misstep.
I soon hear the sounds of whatever coming, no doubt over to me, as each sounding step is getting much clearer in hearing. My eyes caught sight of a shadow that was rge, putting fear into my very heart about whatever was inside this cave. I'm really lucky to haven’t run into this thing when inside.
Then it shows itself to be the form of a huge Jaguar, which is not normal size for creatures like that on earth when they are more than half the size of a human body. Not only that, but the Jaguar doesn't have a Horn pointed out of its forehead.
Its eyes look at me since pretty much I’m the only fleshy thing in front of this Jaguar. This creature saw me as not one to be a threat; I mean, look at me; I can’t even hurt a fly less than being in a fight in my whole life.
Slowly, this Jaguar with the horn in its head moves forward toward me, and I know full well it is not looking to give me a nice cuddle or a kiss. This monster wants to have a nice taste of my flesh, not a good thing; I would want that to happen, but where the hell can I go in getting away from this thing?
Wait, hold on a minute, why am I moving backward on my own, or should I say my body was doing the moving of its own free will, it happened to forget that there is nothing further than the amount that is like a cliff since my st step went over the edge.
“Oh shit.” funny to be my st words, but it's just the type of reaction anyone would also say in my situation.
The feeling of my body falling is something new to be experiencing at the moment, but soon it is not going to be like it this way for long when there is a ground down below for me to crash into and spill out my guts and blood all over.
Well, it is what I first believe, but what happens is my body comes into contact with a tree, first breaking through a branch or a few that matter as the pain from this hurt. Especially when the side of my body smacks against one that was harder to break compared to the st ones.
I did feel and hear the sounds of my ribs cracking, but luckily, there wasn’t more to the falling, nding hard on the ground. Pain, there is pain everywhere in my body where I y on this ground, seems to still be alive if able to keep on feeling this agony when I shouldn’t at all.
God, how can I be able to be alive? Wait, why should I be mad about that? I should be happy. Then again, pain does beat the feeling on its own.
Knowing I'm still alive, I have no time to lie again. Then, if that monster came after me, wouldn’t it be smart to use the card pying dead? Surly it would work on that monster being the same….
[ROAR!!]
It was too te to make that move now when hearing the monster Jaguar monster hit the ground the next second, looking right at me as if I did not have the time to py dead.
Nor a chance to act when it jumped toward me with a speed unmatched, but out of fear, I wanted to live. Jumping to one side by a very close second, my body would have been impaled and shredded to pieces just the same way the poor tree came to be treated.
I wasted no time in running away after witnessing what happened. I was not sure I could run away from this thing, but I got to do so to live and not mind much of the pain when moving.
I had no clue where I was going; I just had to run in a random direction, passing tree after tree with so many of them. Must be in some forest that has to have a way out somewhere.
I hear the beast's rge foot hitting the ground and close behind me. No, wait, scratch that, that monster is already right behind, needing a few more steps in to catch me by the horn stabbing my back or the mouth biting away.
Damn it, what am I supposed to do? I’m already out of breath thanks to me not working out or at least eating more healthier food. Well too te to care about those two things. My back didn’t get stabbed or bitten on, just a nasty big cwing at my back, feeling how deep it went into my back flesh.
I lost my footing because of the attack hitting and rolling the ground for a few seconds, then when it stopped, the pressure of the monster foot stepping on my newfound wound caused a greater feeling of pain as I let out a cry from my mouth.
This is it. There is no way I am going to leave through this one. It is to be the end for me, not another chance at staying alive.
[ROAR!!]
You gotta be kidding me. Is that another monster around here? I lifted my head a bit to see what was coming when the vibration of its steps was shaking the grounds, and the Jaguar stepping on my back made a sound of one to be displeased with another in interpreting its dinner time.
Both of us come to be greeted by this new visitor, a deer, a monster. The Deer twitch, the size of a normal one, being Hellish looking with crimson blood-like skin, two rge, bcked horns bending backward at the center where the antlers like that of normal deer are there as well.
Not to forget those eyes bcken, but with yellow pupils in the middle, it's best not to stare into eyes like that, giving those chills like one soul could be taken in, never coming back.
Holy shit! Did fire just come out of this thing's nostrils? Oh no, this devil-looking deer seems to be getting ready for a fight with this Jaguar with the horn in its head, and It also has the same idea.
It took not long to see it happen. A monster's fight came to begin as the Jaguar forgot about me for the moment, going off to face this newfound challenger who showed a key interest in fighting it or wanting to have me all to himself for a meal.
Before the monster Jaguar cshes with the Hellish-looking deer, it makes an interesting move or an attack from my viewpoint. I watched it take one step forward with all its might before performing a whole spin with that rge body.
Aiming to use that horn on its head to pierce that Hellish-looking deer, which goes on to match its encounter with the Jaguar. I thought there was no way this monster could beat the speed of the others, but it showed no fear in facing this head-on.
Soon, the two ended up cshing against each other to create a powerful shockwave, which had me rolling a little backward by it.
“Whoa didn’t think we were going to find another monster out here fighting the one our little party of three were hunting down.”
“So a Hornstrike Jaguar and Hellish Deer have entered a battle with each other, a rare thing to occur, but best not to get in the way of their fight unless one of us has their attention turned on them. Where it could be quite the horrible outcome no matter if one is strong enough to go up against one monster alone that fine, but two at the same time is a different story if one isn’t at the skill level to hunt two monsters.”
“Agree, let them fight, and whoever will be the winner at the end; we then resume hunting whatever monster is left for us to kill.”
I couldn’t believe that three figures, small-sized people, were talking among each other after appearing out of nowhere. From the back, I could not see their faces when they turned me, and also they were wearing hoods over their heads.
“Um… don’t suppose you three know where I am right this moment,” I ask the most common question to whoever else is in my situation.
“Sorry, human, there isn’t a time for the chitchat; we got monsters fighting each other to the death and must be ready for when it is our turn.”
“We do request that you do not get in the way safely and pce yourself away when it happens.”
“Yeah, cutie, don’t want someone like you to end up dying by these not without the chance to have a taste of you first.”
What was that st bit the st person said, well female when hearing each one's voice once again. So would that mean these three females are to be short people by their height?
“I don’t get why the three of you are pnning on fighting one of those monsters that are crazy should you not instead, I don’t know, run for your life too.” I said to them, but the answer felt it wasn’t one myself was going to think it was.
“Human there is a reason, we aren’t cowering to Hornstrike Jaguar and Hellish Deer.” One on the right said.
it is because we three are monster syers Goblin bad assesses.” The one in the middle had finished what the other was saying.
At the time all three grabbed their hood and let it down to show the different color of their hairs, the deep green color of their skin and the long pointy ears.
“Oh… you three are actually Goblins green skin and short height for that matter.”
