She paused and looked around
confused. “Where is Princess Ruby? You said she was being turned!”
“Yea.. she.. uh.. is hiding. You
have to come back tomorrow. Okay?” I tried.
She stepped forward and her eyes
narrowed. “Wait, Wasn’t Princess spending the night with you at
the inn in town?” She took another step and her hand twitched like
she was about to snap her fingers.
I swallowed heavily and put my
hands up in a placating gesture. “No, you see, that was the plan,
but we decided to come to the castle! Look, if you give me a moment I
will bring her here!”
Sapphire considered it for a moment
before asking “Where is she that you need to go get her?” She had
one eyebrow raised and she was not smiling.
“Look, you are getting way too
out of proportion. You wanted to become a friend? We can worry about
Princess Ruby after right?” I said almost desperately.
She paused and genuinely seemed to
consider it for a very long time before finally shaking her head.
“No, As much as I would love to be with you Hero. I cannot let me
sister suffer because of my selfish desires. Please bring her here.”
I looked around an a horrible, but
preferable to kingdom jail cells came to mind. “She is.. over there
behind the bed! Let me just go back there and get her!” I said
while shaking.
She looked at the bed and stepped
towards it but I stopped her. “She will only accept me over there,
I am sorry. Let me just go grab her.”
Sapphire looked at me for a long
moment before nodding and taking a step back. I rushed behind the bed
and leaned down before saying loudly. “Princess Ruby? Please get up
and show your sister you are fine!” As I spoke, I pulled up the
skills menu and clicked transform before quickly hitting the Princess
again. It was once again instant and I stood proudly stating “I am
fine!”
Sapphire looked horrified and
screamed out “Enemy captain!” She snapped her fingers and guard
began swarming. That was when I realized, in horror, I had turned
into Alissa.
“No Wait!” I tried to call out
but the guards came at me fast. Instinctively, my body moved and I
pulled Alissa’s bubble gun and began firing it like crazy. A dozen
guards just.. dropped. I giggled maniacally before jumping out the
nearby window.
I landed inside the bushes next to
the wall of the castle and start sprinting down the path. Pulling up
my transform I see its grayed out. I read the tool tip and screech.
Transforms into any character you have met before. Can only be
used once every 24 hours.
That
was bullshit incarnate. I literally turned to Ruby, then back to
myself, then to Alissa in less then twenty minutes. They definitely
just added that. A large black dragon suddenly appeared and landed
next to me. I jumped on him without think and he took off. My dragon
will protect me!
Wait..
The dragon, my dragon.. no the dragon! THE DRAGON. Took me and flew
me above the land. I was really high up.. Then we dive at an angle
heading straight.. for the Tardriss Kingdom. I hated this place so
much.
We
flew past the border with no issue and my.. the.. dragon landed in a
town square of what I was sure was the capitol of Tardriss. I hopped
off of him before realizing what I was doing and my dragon took off
again.
“Ah,
my daughter has returned. Her amazing power shows even now!” Said a
large muscular man. The same one who was on that tank I had blown up.
He walked directly up to me and pulled me into a hug. I had no idea
how to respond so I just stood there.

patted me on the back after a moment and wiped a tear from his eye.
“This is truly a wondrous day! You are off killing our enemy,
getting married soon. I cannot wait for The hero to slay me in a
battle to the death and claim you as his own my sweet child!” He
saluted in what I could only describe as that look someone gets when
fantasizing.
“Of..
of course gen.. daddy! I am the youngest member of the 24th!”
I said, catching my stride midway through. “I am not bragging or
anything, but I am truly just the best!” I bragged shamelessly as I
pulled out my bubble rifle and shot it into the air. The peasants
around me cheered for my greatness.. wait, no. Act, not real. Stop.
“Halt
intruder!” Alissa’s voice came over as another black dragon
suddenly landed and the real Alissa jumped off. “I knew when the
hero disappeared from the city someone had kidnapped him. It was you
foul fiend wasn’t it! Your trickery will not fool me! Princess
Sapphire personally gave me a quest to save our Hero!”
“That
is not possible, you are obviously the fake!” I cried in a panic.
“Everyone knows Princess Sapphire would never give a quest to an
enemy!” I smirked knowingly at her.
Alissa
actually looked uncertain and looked around at everyone before her
eyes go wide “Wait, am I the copy?!”
I
almost screamed at her sheer stupidity. Instead I raised a finger.
“Luckily for you, The Hero, my future husband is into
doppelgangers! You may join the harem!”
“I
think you mean team” The real Alissa said now full of doubt.
“Same
difference” I said casually waving her off.
“So..
I have two daughters now?!” Daddy said with joy as he picked me up
in a hug.
I
hugged him back before feeling a sudden sharp pain. Then I hugged
tighter out of fear. The gasps didn’t help. Alissa suddenly calling
out “There you are hero! You were me all along.. wait?” made
things actively worse.
I
heard the guards surround us and I slowly let go. I smiled sheepishly
at the large man in front of me. He did not smile back. If anything
he seemed puzzled, not upset. After a moment, Alissa spoke and made
understand why. “I get it! You wanted to meet my daddy so much you
turned into me so you could hug him!”
The
General looked at me imperiously for a moment before patting me on
the shoulder. “That was a nice try. But I hope you understand that
if you want my daughters hand, You must fight me. Hugging me doesn’t
count.”
I
opened and closed my mouth a few times in stunned silence. I always
knew the NPC’s were stupid. But this passed into straight
delusional. Alissa walked over to me and took my hand. “Don’t
worry daddy. He will fight and win for sure! He told me himself when
we met he was on his way to kill you!”
I
covered her mouth and she glared at me, but oddly didn’t attack me
for it. I actually paused cause I expected her to attack. That was a
mistake. The general turned around at that moment and looked at us
before smiling and saying verbatim. “Ah, it seems you too have
already initiated foreplay. You may finish in her bedroom and meet me
out here in an hour! Trooper #385, fetch the chains for our young
dominator here.”
I
was so stunned I let my hand dropped, my second mistake. “Yes
Daddy! I would have brought my own but Princess Ruby wanted to borrow
them for her sister!” She hopped over and gave him a hug before
whispering something in his ear. He looked stunned and asked “Are..
are you certain?”
I
felt my blood draining rapidly from my face. “I am daddy!” Alissa
said with glee. He nodded and looked over to a wall of weapons.
Walking over, he pulled off a massive war hammer and walked over to
the middle of town. He suddenly let out a massive roar, and he grew
three times larger. I stared, mouth agape. Opening my skill menu I
tried to push to teleport to the capitol button. A notification
popped up.
Warning: You cannot active fast
travel while in a boss fight.
I
stared at the notification for around a split second before I felt
the war hammer hit me from the side. Every rib and bone shattering at
once and the three buildings my body went through that collapsed
like.. well like the lego's they were.
I
appeared, standing in the same spot I had just been hit and looked up
right as the hammer smashed me like that scene in that one
destination movie.
I
appeared again standing next to a random peasant. This time I
instantly ducked and the peasant next to me was turned into a bloody
paste. I rolled and punched the General. My felt my fingers break,
seconds before I felt him snap my neck.
Today
was going to be a long day.
