Chapter 1: The crimson beginning

Son of Gods – Chapter 1: The Crimson Beginning

The classroom was quiet. Too quiet.

Daniel sat by the window, chin resting lazily against his palm, eyes drifting beyond the glass. Outside, the sun painted the sky in hues of fading gold. Inside, the professor’s voice droned on, another lecture, another meaningless day.

Another boring Tuesday, Daniel thought. His pen tapped against the desk, each dull thud echoing louder than the lecture itself. College life wasn’t bad — friends, assignments, the occasional party—but for Daniel, it all felt like a hollow play, like he was sleepwalking through a script someone else had written.

And yet… deep down, he always knew something was different about him. Something locked.

  The First Omen

As the professor dismissed class, Daniel shoved his books into his bag and lingered for a moment. His friend, Tom, clapped him on the back.

“Spacing out again, huh?” Tom smirked, his fiery energy practically radiating off him. “One of these days, your brain’s gonna get lost in the clouds and never come back.”

“Maybe I like the clouds better than reality,” Daniel replied with a faint smile.

Before Tom could retort, another voice cut in—Jackson, tall and composed, sparks of static almost seeming to hum around him. Rivalry lit his eyes the second they locked on Tom.

“You’re late again, Tom. Guess some things never change.”

“Oh, shut it, thunder boy,” Tom shot back, flames practically crackling in his tone.

Daniel sighed. Here we go again. Their rivalry was practically a natural law at this point. Fire and thunder, always colliding. Always clashing.

But before their bickering could explode into yet another spectacle, a sound echoed in Daniel’s head.

  A whisper.

  A voice.

  Not human. Not earthly.

  “Awaken.”

Daniel froze, his vision blurring. The hallway stretched like liquid, colors dripping, bending, twisting. In his mind, a gate appeared—massive, ancient, carved with runes no language could decipher. Five locks gleamed across its surface, each one pulsing with faint crimson light.

And from behind it… came something vast.

  Something waiting.

  The Scientist

  “Daniel?”

A calm, collected voice grounded him back into reality. Standing before him was Dr. Victor, the youngest professor and scientist in the university and a man whose presence commanded attention without trying. His sharp gaze seemed to pierce directly into Daniel’s soul.

“You look pale. Did you… hear something?” Victor’s voice lowered, almost conspiratorial.

  Daniel blinked. “How did you—”

But Victor only adjusted his glasses, as though confirming something he already knew. “Interesting. Very interesting.”

Daniel felt uneasy. He barely knew Victor, yet the man’s eyes held knowledge that went far beyond ordinary science.

  A Flicker of Power

That night, Daniel lay awake in his dorm. Tom snored on the bed across the room, and Jackson had retreated to his own apartment. The world was quiet—until the whispers returned.

  “Unlock me.”

Daniel clutched his head, heart racing. Suddenly, his desk lamp flickered, the bulb shattering with a sharp pop. His books levitated off the desk, spinning slowly in the air.

“No… this isn’t real,” Daniel whispered, but the objects moved in sync with his thoughts—rising higher when he imagined it, freezing when he panicked.

His breath caught. His thoughts were realizing themselves.

The books dropped suddenly, crashing to the floor. Daniel staggered back, trembling. His heart screamed in both terror and exhilaration

What the hell is happening to me?

  A Shadow in the Sky

While Daniel wrestled with his awakening, far above Earth’s atmosphere, a lone figure drifted among the stars. Noir, the astronaut, floated inside his fractured ship, staring into the abyss. His instruments had failed hours ago, but he didn’t need them.

Because space itself whispered to him. Distances folded, galaxies beckoned, the void cradled him like a mother’s arms.

And through the blackness, he saw it—an omen streaking across the cosmos.

A crimson star, burning where no star should exist.

Noir’s breath fogged against his helmet.

  “The beginning has come…”

  The Threads of Fate

Elsewhere, under the glow of a luxury skyscraper’s city lights, Selena sipped her wine, alone in her penthouse. She let her fingers dance absentmindedly in the air, and threads—fine as spider silk—unwound from her fingertips. They coiled, twisted, weaved patterns of invisible elegance.

Among them, one thread glowed crimson.

  Fate was shifting.

  And she smiled.

  The Crimson Dream

Daniel woke with a start, drenched in sweat. His body trembled, his mind burned. He stumbled toward the mirror and froze.

  His reflection… wasn’t his own.

It was a silhouette, cloaked in swirling crimson energy, eyes glowing like dying stars.

And the voice spoke again—clearer this time, louder, undeniable:

“Daniel… Son of Gods. The locks will break, one by one. And when they do… your will shall shape existence itself.”

  The mirror cracked.

  The room fell silent.

Daniel collapsed to his knees, gasping, clutching his chest as though the weight of destiny itself had just been thrust upon him.

  In that moment, he knew—

Life as a normal college student was over.

And the world had just stepped onto the edge of an era where thought, flame, storm, time, void, thread, strength, and psychic will would decide the fate of gods themselves.
